Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

5 out of 5 eggs Sweet Fan! 11/30/2014

This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

Pros: -Great heatsink! even the stock fan runs pretty quiet.
-I would recommend it if it fits in your system.
-Keeps the rig cool and quiet

Cons: Watch out for the size of this thing, especially If you have a smaller case like the Cougar Spike. It required a little bit of elbow grease to get that thing in. Also watch out for RAM clearance. If your RAM has tall heatsinks, this is not the cooler for you.

Other Thoughts: Things to think about before you buy: Size - this thing is massive and will not fit in all cases and in some instances it will block the installation of RAM with larger heatsinks. But the tradeoff is quiet cooling.

Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Red LED - Cherry MX Red Switches

Pros: Wow this keyboard is amazing! I bought this keyboard to replace my old sidewinder x4, and wow what a difference. I really recommend upgrading to a mechanical keyboard if you are in college and typing up large 10-20 page papers. I wish I would have upgraded sooner. For the gaming side, I haven't noticed a major difference as all play are FPS's and mainly just use the WSAD keys. Another positive is that this keyboard's design allows for easy cleaning. Just a spray with an air canister as well as a thorough wipedown with some electronic wipes, and BAM! you're keyboard is as fresh as the day it came out of the factory. The volume scroll wheel is also just friggin awesome. The build quality as well is top notch since it is crafted out of aluminium. This keyboard also has sweet lighting features, like lighting only the keys you want such as WADS and the the number keys.

Cons: This keyboard is wayyyy louder then my old sidewinder X4. So be warned that typing into the night with room mates around is NOT recommended. Also switching from this keyboard takes a little bit of time to get used to. So, when you first start using it, expect to make some mistakes. But over time, you will get the hang of it and start loving this keyboard. One last con of this keyboard is that it is on the expensive side. However, if you are willing to invest, it will pay off!

Other Thoughts: The scroll wheel is amazing! If you have the cash to buy it , I highly recommend the purchase. My hats off to corsair for such a great design.

AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-Core 3.5 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8320FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: I caught a sale and got this baby for a relatively cheap price. This processor is extremely fast compared to my old overclocked Phenom II 965. BF4 used to drive my old phenom up to 96-100% core usage but with the new fx processor it only drives the core usage up to 70%. Pretty good value for the money. On the intel side I would only have been able to buy a low end core i3 processor with only two cores and four threads. You can also overclock the processor to 8350 speeds!

Cons: You need an aftermarket cooler because the stock cooler roars like a jet plane for some reason. Intel processors use way less power but are more expensive.

Other Thoughts: Its a great processor for the money if you can catch it on a sale! If you need some motherboard suggestions, I personally bought the MSI 990fxa GD65V2 and it works fine. However, if you dont like MSI theres always asrock's 990fx Fatal1ty edition.
