This review is from: D-Link DES-1005E 5-Port 10/100 Desktop Switch
Works exactly as adverstised.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts: I keep the cable modem and 7-port wireless router in the basement office, but I have a backup PC and laptop upstairs in the living room. Living in a large brick house makes for miserable wireless connectivity, so I decided to physically run a CAT5 cable from the basement into the upstairs area. Setup with the DES-1005E was simply a matter of plugging the CAT5 from the downstairs router to port 1 on the switch, then plugging my PC and laptop into the switch next. No fuss, no muss, it just works.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fans are powerful.
Cons: Build quality not so great.
Other Thoughts: This cooler has two large fans that I can actually feel blowing on my face, even with the laptop sitting on it. The top metal grate is thin and easily disfigured, but you might not notice with a laptop in place. Shipping from China was a bit slow.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: EDIMAX EW-7811Un N150 USB 2.0 Wireless nano Adapter
Blue activity LED.
Plug And Play with Windows 10.
Cons: Not sure if this device can reach the advertised 150MB download speed.
Other Thoughts: I had serious concerns about compatibility and connection speed & stability with this device, but I decided to give it a try. I was happy to see that the EW-7811 was recognized, installed, and ready in seconds on my HP EliteBook 8760w running Windows 10. SpeedTest reports 20MB download and 10MB upload speeds when used two rooms away from the wireless router.READ FULL REVIEW
