Pros: Two thirds of the drives I purchased of this type performed flawlessly.
Cons: One drive failed less than two months out of warranty.
Other Thoughts: I've been recommending and selling Seagate drives for many years. Every once in a great while, one fails, but it is usually quickly, well within warranty, and Seagate is always good about replacements.
This time, one drive failed without warning a month and a week after the warranty expired. No SMART warnings, just... dead.
Thankfully, it was in a RAID 5 array, so no data was lost, but this failure blew my mind. It was without any warning, and was nearly instant after the warranty expired. I'm going to be a little gun-shy about Seagate hard drives for a while.
Pros: Flawless performance on every OS I've thrown at it. 32 bit, 64 bit, three monitors, even raw stress testing, this processor is amazing. It has survived brownouts without a hiccup and my computer still feels new even after a year of use.
Cons: Loss of sleep due to playing on the computer till all hours of the night.
Other Thoughts: Keep it up, AMD! Another excellent product!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Antec Mini Skeleton-90 0.8mm cold rolled steel Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case
Pros: Design: Antec delivers once again with a design that is aesthetically pleasing and still functional. Airflow: I have an completely fanless Via ITX motherboard, and this case keeps it nice and cool, even under high load. Size: Sure, it's not as small as some ITX cases, but it more than makes up for it in style. Noise Level: I couldn't even tell that it was on at first.
Cons: Can only mount 2.5 drives. The documentation about the side drive moutings was unclear as to the size. I had a few extra drives about, but I am budgeting now to replace the two 300gb, 3 1/2 drives. Power supply had to be reversed for my motherboard, and no instructions were included with the case or online on how to do this. I figured it out, but it would have been nice to be told the procedure. Cable routing was difficult with only one major cable access hole between the motherboard area and the rest of the case.
Other Thoughts: If I had the money, I would build these for my entire family. I have never been disappointed by Antec, and this case more than delivers.READ FULL REVIEW
