This review is from: Cideko AK08 Air Keyboard Conqueror All-in-one Keyboard
Pros: Cleans up your coffee table from wires and larger input devices. Easily customized, whether you use the provided software, or something more serious like Pinnacle Game Profiler or Xpadder. It has great range. It only takes a little while to get acclimated to text-style typing and gyroscopic mouse use. The concept and design of this device should've placed it on top of any controller ever made in history. Unfortunately, it's gleaming flaws have put it somewhere near the bottom.
Cons: Every fifteen minutes or so, the battery light turns on and the dang thing stops working. I don't know if it loses connection, if it's searching for a new channel, or what.. it just... *drops out*. You could be typing an email, you look up, and realize the last two sentences weren't received. It just sporadically stops working. If you wait 5 to 10 seconds, it always comes back on, but it's a *huge* pain if you're playing a game and it wigs out during a boss fight. That fact alone demoted this frustrating (and expensive) piece of plastic to "hand-held keyboard" from it's intended rank, "MMORPG controller". An intermittent game controller is UNACCEPTABLE. Before you assume I have had these issues due to distance from the receiver, be aware I tried to place the receiver right next to me and I had the exact same issue. Not to put a positive spin on it, but this thing acts the same whether it's two feet from the receiver or twenty. It's sensor range is actually kind of impressive.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy it. It's cool, but it's drawbacks only mean that this idea needs to be perfected by a better company. This would be the controller to end all controllers if it weren't intermittent. The feel, the shape, the design, the concept - all amazing, but cutting in and out is a deal-breaker. Can you imagine a 360 controller that just randomly ignored button presses for 5 seconds at a time? It's a wonder this thing isn't embedded in my wall.READ FULL REVIEW
