GIGABYTE Model GC-WB867D-I (ver. 2) Bluetooth 4.0/WiFi Expansion Card
  • neweggOwned For: less than 1 day

1 out of 5 eggs Typical s h i t t y driver bundling 05/15/2015

This review is from: GIGABYTE Model GC-WB867D-I (ver. 2) Bluetooth 4.0/WiFi Expansion Card

Pros: Interesting idea - in theory

Cons: Drivers are nerfed to preclude installation in server versions of windows.

As far as I can tell, this is just because of the sloppy and pointless driver install utils.

Nothing on the box indicates it won't work on server - in fact, system requirements aren't listed at all other than Win7/8 required for WiDi

Other Thoughts: Might work ok on win 7/8 - my desktops are server 08

Plantronics VoyagerPRO HD Bluetooth Headset
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs Works quite well 10/08/2014

This review is from: Plantronics VoyagerPRO HD Bluetooth Headset

Pros: Battery life is reasonable for office use.

Cons: Heavy users need to charge it up a bit during their lunch break.

Other Thoughts: Still my goto BT headset for office use.

Logitech MK520 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo - Black

2 out of 5 eggs Fail design 06/06/2014

This review is from: Logitech MK520 2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo - Black

Pros: Inexpensive - works ok for the most part

Cons: No numlock indicator.

Logitech thinks I should load an application to enable an onscreen indicator that the numlock is on.

That's a paddlin'!

Other Thoughts: Removing this model from our purchase list.

I like Logitech historically, but I fear they are trying to play to the bottom of the purchasing curve.

We don't live there, so I guess I need to find a more professional model.
