This review is from: Polk Audio RC65i White 6.5" High Performance In-Wall Speaker Pair
Pros: Great sound for the price. I'm using these has front speakers and have another pair of polk 6" round speakers for the rears. My receiver is very low-end, yet these speakers fill the room with great sound. Very happy with the performance given what I paid.
Cons: Not the best low-end. A sub-woofer is justified if these are your main speakers. But for 6.5" speakers, they sound good.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Harman Kardon AVR 1510 375-watt, 5.1-CH, Networked Receiver w/4 HDMI Inputs
Pros: Price, sound quality is acceptable (using Polk speakers)
Cons: The software/firmware in this receiver appears to be buggy. Plugged iPod into the USB port, does not work. Haven't tried a generic USB stick yet. The 'menu' button on the remote only works if the input is selected to 'radio' or 'audio in'. So it you want to bring up the menu while you're using one of the HDMI inputs, forget it. The power-off button on the remote has similar problems, the receiver will not power off unless you're in 'audio in' or 'radio' mode when using the remote. Fortunately the power-off button on the receiver still works. Tried to do a software update using the internet connection. The receiver showed that it was connected to my network and had an IP address. But when doing the software update, it simply tells you to go to the Harmon Kardon web site, download the software to a USB stick, and connect the stock. What good is the internet connection?
There's no way to controll the treble/base from the remote or the front panel on the receiver. You have to go into the menu system, set the treble/base specifically for each input source, and save the settings. If that isn't a PITA, then what is?
Other Thoughts: Stay away from this piece of junk. There's no software update available from Harmon Kardon. Good price, but it's not worth the inconveniences. Very disappointed customer given this is name branch equipjment.READ FULL REVIEW
