This review is from: Plantronics GameCom 818 Wireless Gaming Headset - PlayStation 4
Pros: Manufacturer Reputation, light weight, wireless, decent range, good battery life, noise canceling microphone. Good for the price (but look for a sale)
Cons: Speakers feel a bit small on the ear, pinches the ears a little after long use
Other Thoughts: These sound good enough to listen to music with, the bass response is way better than you'd expect in such a low priced small sized product. At 80 they may be a little pricey but you can probably find them on sale a significant bit lower if you look. Plantronics has been making headsets and bluetooth for a very long time, their products tend to be top notch and functional in my experience. The current incarnation of this unit is pc, mac, playstation in one product not two different. I find the 40ft range accurate and The battery life is about right I got at least eleven hours out of mine playing nearly a whole day and it hadn't even started complaining about battery yet. The sound quality does not fall off at the edges you get the same quality until you are out of range and then when you step back in it immediately connects right back up again. Of course there are much nicer wireless gaming headsets out there but if you're not prepared to pay over two hundred dollars for a dolby 7 surround likeness this will do just fine for you and parents that cringe about spending so much for a wireless headset will be happier with the price point of these for that inevitable moment when the kid destroys them.READ FULL REVIEW
Cons: Needs good cooling, high power cpu not supported by too many motherboards yet, price
Other Thoughts: The air/fan cooler necessary to keep this happy will be expensive and really large. If I had it to do over again I would probably buy the version that includes the liquid cooling. Be sure the case you want to put this in can handle the liquid cooler radiator. Mine runs around 40c all the time and higher in the hot weather in my house with no ac. Under 70c is safe but why push it? This thing runs everything I toss at it and no issues under windows 7 or 8READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fast and stable, corsair name
Cons: price a little high
Other Thoughts: Corsair makes great memory and has a lifetime guarantee, I have never had a problem with their products in any of my builds and I highly recommend them. These come with a heat sink jacket. Popped them in motherboard adjusted properly and away it went. have been running these for nearly a year and not one problem. I have returned memory to these folks in the past and got fast and easy replacement no griping.READ FULL REVIEW
