1 out of 5 eggs Poor quality 06/04/2014

This review is from: Soul by Ludacris SL99 In-Ear High-Def Sound Isolation Headphone

Pros: Nice box

Cons: Bought three, as they were cheap. Used one, gave the other two to family members. One pair was defective out of the box (intermittent sound in left earpiece). One more died after three months. Still waiting for replacement from Soul Electronics.

Foxconn NTA350-0H0W-B-A-NA AMD A45 (Hudson D1) 1 x 204Pin SO-DIMM AMD Radeon HD 6310 Black Mini / Booksize Barebone System

Pros: Small form factor, pretty powerful for its size, quiet

Cons: HDMI connection to my TV does not work, and the only way to get picture and sound is to use DVI-HDMI cable and separate audio connection (my laptop's HDMI to the same TV works perfectly). The whole point of buying this was to have a small, but capable HTPC. Without HDMI, it's barely useful.

Other Thoughts: Good idea, but mediocre product

ASUS Zenbook UX32VD-DH71 Ultrabook - Intel Core i7 3517U (1.9GHz) 6GB RAM 500GB HDD+24GB SSD 13.3
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Looks good, nice screen, thin and light

Cons: No option to create recovery disks. Despite what the ASUS mouthpiece said earlier, you cannot create a recovery ISO and disks. The manual included in the box is completely irrelevant (it seems to have been done for Windows 7 and simply put inside the Windows 8 machines). In other words, a good piece of hardware with inadequate support and software. Pretty bad leakage on the LCD too -- that's seems to have become an ASUS trademark -- all ASUS ultrabooks I've come across have terrible leakage. ASUS, you customers are paying upwards of $1,200 for this -- can't you get some quality assurance in your manufacturing?
