This review is from: WD 4TB My Passport Portable Hard Drive USB 3.0 Model WDBYFT0040BOR-WESN Orange
Pros: It's very small and highly portable and lots of capacity.
Cons: None really so far. A little slow, but it's fine for what I use it for, which is keeping all my software and various data backed up. I keep one of them out and ready on my main PC, ready to have files/folder copied to it, then once per week or so, I rotate one of them into my laptop bag in a case so its protected (which I bought from another vendor and is perfect for this size of drive), ready to be transported with my laptop.
Other Thoughts: Something to keep in mind, at least on my main PC, if you plug in more than one of these (I also bought a blue one) at the same time, you'll only see the unlock CD drive for one of them, and you won't be able to unlock both at the same time. At first I thought something was wrong, but if you plug them in one at a time, no problem. This isn't a problem for me now that I know it, I generally will not have both plugged in on the same PC at a time. Something I did to it was add 4 soft rubber feet to the bottom of it, so it sits higher off the surface its sitting on and has much better shock protection and air flow under it while in use.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro Lifetime 1 PC
Pros: Runs happily along side anti-virus packages, in my case, Norton Internet Security. I've also used BitDefender with it no problems.
Other Thoughts: All my computers run this set to auto update. I do feel safer with it. I just bought another copy for a new build just completed, so this is a report on that and previous experience with malwarebytes pro. I paid $15 on sale here on newegg. I think I've seen it cheaper before, but that's the price at the time I needed it. One time fee and covered for life, well worth it in my opinion for the peace of mind of knowing you're a little safer than most. For sure use a quality anti-virus package with this, do not depend on malwarebytes alone to protect you, it's designed to supplement your anti-virus, not replace it.READ FULL REVIEW
