Pros: Good price point, quick delivery. Have consistently used WD drives in my PC builds and have been very happy. Bought this a part of backup and storage for my HTPC.
Cons: Used in lowend HTPC with Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit. Also 1st experience with formatting hdd larger than 1TB. Formatting seemed to take forever after partition was created (like a low level format). A few issues with loading all media files onto the hdd necessitating do overs.
Other Thoughts: Will outline issue with WD tech support and if there are issues, I will update this review.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Newegg had best price, and delivery was very timely. It was easy and fairly quick to get to PNY support via telephone.
Cons: It did not work. Nothing in the specs to indicate there would be compatability issues with an older MOBO. This was not an OS issue, rather a compatability issue with the MOBO and the GPU card.
Other Thoughts: Wanted to repurpose an older PC build (Abit IP 35 Pro/ ATI Radeon 1950 GPU) into an HTPC using Windows 8.1 Pro. Card arrived timely and Newegg, as usual, had the best price. Installed card and nothing, not even the POST or boot to BIOS.! Mobo had latest BIOS installed. PNY support was very helpful, but, basically informed me the MOBO was too old. Further, unless I could find an upgraded MOBO BIOS generated later than 2012, it was unlikely I would be able to get this to work. Suggested a GT 520 or GT 430.READ FULL REVIEW

Data & backups go onto slower speed WD HDDs. 1TB might be a little overkill, but, this drive seemed to have the best price point at the time of ordering.
