This review is from: Logitech K300 Black 101 Normal Keys USB Wired Compact Keyboard
Pros: very compact. fits on a small keyboard tray with enough room for a mouse pad next to it.
orange backdrop and backlit media keys are aestethically appealing.
media keys visibly highlight (the media backlight brightness switches from "low" to "high") when you press the "FN" key that activates their functions.
buttons have a nice "click" feel to them.
logitech software splashes translucent "Caps Lock / Num Lock / Scroll Lock On / Off" messages when the status of any of these keys changes. the splash fades after about 1 second. this function only works in Windows, and only if the logitech software is installed.
like most keyboards, includes hinged feet you can use to adjust the keyboard angle up.
Cons: laptop-style keys may not be very durable (i have serviced many laptops with broken or missing keys, so i would not be surprised if this similarly-designed keyboard experienced the same issue).
the "FN" key (which activates the media keys) is placed right where the "Windows" key would be located on a traditional PC keyboard. for the first several days of typing on this keyboard, i unintentionally hit the FN key many times while trying to hit the Windows key.
some keys (insert, delete, num lock, page up, page down, home, end) are not in the locations familiar on a traditional keyboard. it takes some practice typing on this keyboard before you get used to where everything is located.
Other Thoughts: overall a great inexpensive keyboard for small spaces, and i recommend it. because the key layout takes some practice to adjust to, users with sufficient space should opt for a traditional keyboard instead.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: good USB cable length
key markings are all easy to see
it's a keyboard and it works
Cons: a bit too big to leave room for your mousepad on the keyboard tray, unless you have a really big keyboard tray. unfortunately this con is true for almost any normal-size keyboard.
the button feel is a bit on the soft, "mushy" side. does not give that positive "click" feel you get from higher-end keyboards. that being said, this costs a fraction of the price of a high end keyboard, so you get what you pay for.
Other Thoughts: overall this is a great keyboard in its price bracket and i recommend itREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech MX 518 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 1800 dpi Gaming Mouse
Pros: lots of buttons
extensive customization options through Logitech's driver software
scrollwheel and buttons feel nice and firm
does not have the "hyper fast scrolling" feature (to me this feature is annoying, so its absence is a positive)
Cons: the grey color isn't very aesthetically appealing (obviously this is subjective, but i would have preferred some other color options)
Other Thoughts: overall this is a great mid-grade mouse, and currently the best in its price range imo. past experience with similar logitech mice makes me expect this one will last many years.READ FULL REVIEW
