EVGA's turnaround board
Pros: Awesome BIOS Interface, Very easy to operate and looks very cool. Also shows a bunch of hardware monitoring on the BIOS you can see which ram slots are registered and voltages and clock of cpu and everything. Triple bios switch is genius. Makes overclocking very easy.
Cons: Haven't really found any cons yet, had a couple issues when first setting it up but later found out that they were not at the fault of the motherboard at all.
Overall Review: The issues I had with set up was one that the ram sticks were not inserted correctly, which was my own mistake. And 2nd that I was trying to load the windows from my old RAID 0 SSD'S and I did not realize I had to rearray my RAID on the drives and then do a fresh windows installation. Nothing wrong with the board though.
Two different units both leaked.
Pros: Amazing performance. Kept my i7-4930k at an average of 70c under full load at 4.8GHz... an extremely high overclock for that CPU.
Cons: The first one I owned started making a strange noise from the pump so I opened the case and saw that it was leaking. luckily I removed it before it damaged any other components. Sent it back for an RMA and the replacement started leaking as well after a few months and this time it damaged the motherboard . The RMA process has been over a month, extremely slow. It took them two weeks from the day my damaged goods arrived at their warehouse to determine that the cooler was in fact leaking and that the motherboard was in fact damaged.
Overall Review: Although the RMA process was very slow they did reimburse the full amount for the damaged motherboard and sent me out a CM Glacer instead since I wasn't having much luck with the Eisberg
popping noises, black screens, screen flashing
Pros: UHD for very cheap price, nice adjustable positioning, plenty of cables and accessories
Cons: The first one I got started making this popping sound every now and then and the screen would go black, so i would have to turn the monitor off and then back on again until it popped again. also a corner of the screen kept flashing a different portion of the screen randomly. Turning it off and back on again would fix this... Sent it back to newegg for RMA replacement and the replacement is doing the same thing!!!
Overall Review: I guess you get what you pay for... save your money and buy from ASUS or Samsung.
Extremely overpriced mediocre headset
Pros: Wireless?
Cons: Really really expensive. and to be honest my $70 Logitech G35 sounds better. I still havent figured out how to get the mic to work... doesn't come with instructions to set up for next gen consoles and It's not even compatible with PC... REALLY? FOR $300 THEY COULDN'T MAKE THIS THING WORK FOR PC?
Overall Review: Got this as part of the ps4 bundle and I couldn't return it.... SAVE YOUR MONEY
Gets the job done.
Pros: It's big. It's cheap. It works. What more could you ask for? Installation and setup was easy.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Definitely worth the price I paid (379.99USD)
FFFFFFAST
Pros: FAST, 12 THREADS, stock clocks benchmarked the same as my old 3770k @ 4.9GHz. Overclocked left the 3770k in the Dust!!!
Cons: Not the best overclocker.... Highest stable clock I can get is 4.5GHz @ 1.4V but it STILL blows the hell out of any other proc out there @ 4.5GHz
Overall Review: I'm using this CPU on an EVGA X79 Dark which has a brand new BIOS... There is a new BIOS that is said to be released on Monday (09/16/2013) that is rumoured to allow drastically lower voltages for the same overclock. So perhaps after that it will be a better overclocker.. as far as mobo for this chip goes I would say ASUS X79 RIVE or EVGA X79 Dark. Don't believe all the bad stuff people say about EVGA Mobo's this one is working very well, great bios interface and very easy to use!
