Pros: Gets the job done.
Has VT-d, VT-x, Turbo Boost 2.0, and etc. Do a web search for 'Intel E3-1245 V2' for full list of features--click: ARK | Intel link. Works with onboard video since it's a E3-12*5 V2 model.
A lot cheaper and just as fast as the Intel E3-1275 V2.
Other Thoughts: Heatsink isn't great, turbo boost won't activate if the processor is too hot, which it usually is under high load with this heatsink. So it goes.
This processor works with 8GB RAM sticks, make sure you're looking at what RAM sticks your motherboard supports. I repeat, READ MOTHERBOARD SUPPORT DOCUMENTS before buying RAM. This is for a server, not for a desktop. Research before buying, read documents as if you own the product already.
Pros: Board is able to take new 12** V2 Ivy Bridge Intel Processors, has onboard video (make sure to get an Intel 12*5 V2 processor for onboard video to work), BMC management, ESRT2 (0/1/10) RAID and RST (0/1/10/5) RAID support, VT-d, and there're certain DDR3-1600 sticks that work with it (namely Kingston 8GB KVR16E11/8I sticks).
Cons: No case fan control because the board has BMC management.READ FULL REVIEW
