AGPtek Wireless Controller PC Windows Gaming Receiver for Microsoft Xbox 360 - Black
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Once it is up and running, it works perfectly. I've been playing AV4 BF with this receiver and my Xox 360 controller in Win7x64, no problems. Getting it working is another story however, especially if you run a 64 bit OS.

Cons: Please understand this is not a genuine Microsoft product, even though the title says 'for Microsoft Xbox 360.' But afaik M$ does not offer this product, so its no big woop. However, it does not come with 64 bit device drivers and the instructions are pretty awefull. -1 egg

Other Thoughts: This will work with WIN7 64bit, you just need the right drivers. Well, you need two drivers: the drivers for the controller (xbox 360 controller in my case) which you can get from the manufacturer (Miscrosoft in my case) but you also need the device drivers for the knockoff wireless receiver (64 bit drivers in my case, which are not supplied.) You do NOT need AGPtek-specific drivers, which is good because they do not supply 64 bit drivers. Good luck searching for them, I tried to post a URL and I tried to explain how I found them, but New Egg policy apparently prohibits customers from helping each other, so if you need 64 bit drivers, good luck finding them!

4 out of 5 eggs Made in China But Works 02/28/2014

This review is from: AGPtek Wireless Controller PC Windows Gaming Receiver for Microsoft Xbox 360 - Black

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do. After some tinkering and disappointment I was able to get this to wirk with 64 bit drivers on Win 7. If this is your problem, see the section Other Thoughts. Been playing AC4 BF with it all day!

Cons: Does not come with 64 bit drivers OR the drivers required for the XBox 360 controller. -1 Egg
Not a genuine M$ product (this is a knockoff), but I can't take off an egg for that since M$ no longer offers their wireless gaming receiver afaik.
I knew there would be an issue with 64 bit drivers so I did my research before I bought this to make sure I could find them.

Other Thoughts: If you need help installing/finding drivers, google the following words together: xbox, 360, wireless, receiver, drivers, selfsimilar. The last word is the name of the site which houses a guide which worked for me. The guide has links to M$'s latest XBox 360 controller drivers as well as a link for 64bit device drivers for the receiver. I tried posting the actual link but New Egg policy won't allow it. Hope this helps others!

TP-LINK TL-SG108 Unmanaged 10/100/1000Mbps 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do. Plug and play, no problems. I stream 720P video through this, Xbox 360, Netflix, no problems with throughput.

Cons: It's hilarious to me what a so-called a Eggspert (Hrm..o0JOe00..Hrm) complains about for this product. Please allow me to offer a different opinion:
*RJ45 ports on the front?: Yup, this is pretty standard if not ubiquitous on most networking equipment and is clearly shown in the pictures. No surprise here.
*CAT cables cover lights?: Not really, they are LEDs for showing port activity, all you need to see if they are lit/flashing, which you can do easily.
*90° oriented power adapter?: Fits nicely on standard Wall sockets or powerstrips which are oriented accordingly. This was designed as to not block other outlets.
*Sticky Rubber Feet?: Again, pretty standard. Don't like them? Don't use them or go buy some from target that do fit your standards for a buck.
*Miniscule Size?: Why is this listed as a Pro and as a Con? Again, pretty standard for an 8 port switch. If it was the size of a toaster, someone needs to get fired.

Is it pretty? No. Is it supposed to be pretty? No. Does it perform as an 8 port unmanaged gigabyte switch? Perfectly.

Other Thoughts: Please think before you review.
