Love. It.

EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 02G-P3-1559-KR
EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 02G-P3-1559-KR

Pros: Installed into my mobo without issue. The GPU and the fan on it worked from the moment power rushed through it. Definite upgrade from before. EVGA is a great brand.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: This card is pretty sweet. Cheap for 2 GB @ 192-bits. Runs quietly and cool. Plays Starcraft 2 at high w/o dipping below 50 or 60 fps while playing custom games online. Can run ultra settings w/o dipping below 30 fps. Hoping to play The Old Republic on high...

So far so good

MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI 870-G45 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great layout. Nothing is blocking any of my other parts at the moment. Running one GPU. Labels for pins and ports and etc are easy to find (using the manual) and read. Attached with ease to my case. Plenty of SATA connections.

Cons: Instruction booklet was somewhat vague when discussing basic BIOS set-up. But no physical cons.

Overall Review: It is important to note that this was my first rig, so there was a learning curve to putting things together. My only complaint really is that the instructions for BIOS set-up is inaccurate. For the first boot, after the POST, it is supposed to display "Press DEL for BIOS setup." Well it doesn't. In fact, it boots to a blank screen with a hanging cursor. For a noob like myself, I didn't know what to do next. Found tech support online (which was amazing btw), and tried a few things. Kept getting the same issue. Well, the problem was that my processor was so fast that I couldn't even see it POST and it was booting to that screen b/c Windows wasn't installed yet. Once Windows 7 installed - no issues. Great board, great customer service.

Amazing CPU

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.4 GHz Socket AM3 125W Processor - HDZ965FBGMBOX

Pros: Haven't hit any snags yet. My rig is fast. Don't have any experience with other new processors. I think that this processor is great. Processor itself installed easily.

Cons: The fan that came with the processor did not install as easily. The clips were almost too short for the receptor clips on the mobo. I had to use a little extra force (which I was almost uncomfortable doing) to get it on. CPU, fan, and mobo survived. And yes, mobo was the correct form for the processor.

Overall Review: Fan did come with thermal paste already on it. Fan runs quietly.

Wow

APEVIA X-TELSTAR-BL Blue/ Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer CaseNo Power Supply
APEVIA X-TELSTAR-BL Blue/ Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer CaseNo Power Supply

Pros: Plenty of room. Blue LED background lights are NOT obnoxious. This case comes with 2 temp sensors for the inside of the case so you can monitor your CPU, HDD, and/or ambient temp. Very much room. PSU slot on the top. My rig is not cramped for space at all. Comes with four fans that keep it running really cool.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Not really a con, but it seems that the instructions are a bit vague. Had to do a little guess work for a bit. However, I must say, this was my FIRST TIME putting a rig together. And I only had the internet to help me. So I used some common sense, the instruction booklet, and the internet. And now I am using the components inside and out the this very case to type this review. Love the space inside. Lots of expansion slots.

Love the look and the power.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

Pros: Runs at 16 GB on my Windows 7 64-bit. Haven't hit any snags yet. Have played Starcraft 2 online with browsers and apps open in background with no lag in play on my end.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Got 16 GB for pretty cheap. Sticks fit well on my mobo. Not difficult to install at all. Windows recognizes each stick.

Great so far

Cooler Master Silent Pro M - 850W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Bronze Certification and Semi-Modular Cables
Cooler Master Silent Pro M - 850W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Bronze Certification and Semi-Modular Cables

Pros: Great PSU. No issues. Worked from the moment I turned it on. Plenty of wattage to run my rig.

Cons: SEMI-modular.

Overall Review: Wasn't DOA, so that's good. Didn't blow anything when I turned it on... with everything hooked up. So no complaints. Runs quietly.
