SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4650 DirectX 10.1 100253HDMI 512MB 128-Bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card

Pros: Good performance, cheap, and quiet. Worked out of the box with Windows 7 and Media Center, even HDMI audio using stock Windows 7 drivers.

Cons: Hard to get to the VGA connector using the full-height slot, it's very close to the edge of this case.

Other Thoughts: Nice cheap card for HTPC.

PC Power and Cooling Silencer PPCS370X 370W ATX12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It's pretty quiet. In the workspace I build the PC in, I had to look at the fan to make sure it was turning. You can barely hear the whole PC in my living room, and that may be the CPU cooler.

Cons: The 3 SATA power connectors are too close together. I couldn't get power to one of my drives.

4 out of 5 eggs Nice HTPC Case 11/05/2009

This review is from: HEC 7106BB Black 1.0mm Thickness ATX Desktop Computer Case

Pros: Nice basic case. Accommodates full-height cards, plenty of drive bays. LEDs aren't blinding, I may leave then plugged in. It fits in perfectly with my entertainment center. Sturdy construction, and it's cheap.

Cons: No major problems. Getting to the VGA connector on my video card is tricky because it's so close to the top of the case, but that's my video card's fault as much as the case's.

Other Thoughts: I didn't have any problems with the drive trays. My motherboard has 1 bank filled, the pair furthest from the drives. If I had the other bank filled, I may have to remove the memory to remove the drives, but that's not a big deal for me. Front USB would be nice, but there are plenty of front I/O units you can add to the drive bays.
