This review is from: RAZER Vespula Dual-Sided Gaming Mouse Mat
Pros: - Duel-Sided design allows for changing the pad’s resistance to your preference.
Cons: - Scratches easily on both sides. Mouse will then skip over scratches, regardless of the sensor type.
- High price for a mouse pad.
Other Thoughts: I've had this for about two years now and used a few different mouses over the years. It's great when it was new but started to develop scratches after about 3 months and the mouse laser would start to skip. I've dealt with it for two years, switching sides and position but it's so scratched now that I have to replace it. Both Optical and Laser have the same issue.
I don't expect everything to last forever but for the price, I expect more 3 months of normal use.
This review is from: Patriot Torqx 2.5" 128GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PFZ128GS25SSDR
Pros: Very fast. An SSD is the single most important upgrade you can buy to improve overall speed for your computer. The problem with small writes stalling SSDs is gone. 10 YEAR WARRANTY!
Cons: Poor RAID 0 performance for ICH10R RAID controller. I setup RAID 0 with an ASUS Rampage II Extreme and with a stripe of 128kb, the performance was lower the one drive. Using a stripe of 4kb got me 35% increase in performance over one drive which is noticeable but not worth the price of a second drive.
Other Thoughts: With a dedicated RAID card, you can see double the performance when using RAID 0, but those are rather expensive. Onboard controllers are not yet suited to handle SSD. As time goes on and SSD become more mainstream, improvements will be made to new motherboard's onboard RAID to get them working better.
Also, new drives are being released with performance tweaks every few months. Soon, A new drive could come out that has better performance in this price range. Still, it's hard to beat a 10 year warranty.
Pros: With this card and a Intel E6600, it plays Crysis at 30 FPS most of the time with setting maxed in DX9 mode. Gears Of War plays smooth too at max settings.
Cons: Card is really long and cumbersome.
Other Thoughts: Great card for the price!READ FULL REVIEW
