4 out of 5 eggs Like all but 2 things 04/24/2010

This review is from: Logitech Wave Pro Desktop Black USB 2.4 GHz Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Combo

Pros: Great quality. I was looking for a keyboard set that also included wrist support. The wrist support is soft and leather like - which was a plus for me (not a fan of the hard plastic (like my G15) or Gel) Overall I'm satisfied with the mouse. The height is taking some getting used to. I was using an MX518/G9 prior and they are a little flatter. I really like the side button that is built into the "mouse wall" for lack of a better term - great idea

Cons: I didn't notice this when i purchased, but the F1-F12 keys have been split up into 3's instead of 4's like they should be. I find this very annoying and may not have even bought the board had i noticed it. It really irritates me when manufacturers change layouts. Additionally , I don't like the expanded delete key and vertically distributed INS, HOME, PAGE UP/DOWN etc keys. These should be horizontally distributed like most standard boards are, but meh - I did notice this ahead of time and decided to live with it. No huge deal, not near as annoying as the F Key issue.

Other Thoughts: I think the cost is a little much, but I'm not counting that agains New Egg - they definately had the best deal and I'll always spend my money with them over other outlets.

Pros: I needed a second NIC for an HP Proliant ML150 G5 running ESX 4 U1 (test environment). Use it for iSCSI connectivity and it works just fine.

Cons: NONE
