This review is from: Vantec IDE to SATA Converter - Model CB-IS100
Pros: I had to change some settings in the Bios to make the drive accessible, otherwise it does what it should. Allowed me to retrieve info off of a hard drive from the late 90's! Amazing.
Cons: None. I have noticed some bad reviews about slow speeds. Fact, if your hooking up an IDE drive, especially one as old as mine, it will run slow. Those drives are much slower than a SATA connected drive. So if you have large files on one, expect it to take a while.
Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this product for data recovery from an old IDE drive. If you need help be sure to hit up some forums. Some motherboards may need settings changed to make the drive visible. You may also need to make sure that the drive has the jumper set to Master and not Cable Select... Lastly, make sure all your connections are tight. I noticed the first time the IDS cable wasn't in all the way when I started the pc. Be patient and this device will give you what you need.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Easy to use with windows 7, just run the windows experience to get windows to recognize you have an SSD installed and your done. Fast drive, great price, love my new SSD.
Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 5400k rpm laptop drive.
Google: How to Migrate to a Solid-State Drive Without Reinstalling Windows, its a lifehacker article to help with disk migration "im not allowed to post links here."
this will help clone your drive. I did mine a bit different, I connected both drives to empty sata slots on my desktop pc and did a drive to drive clone instead of creating an image, then moving the image to the SSD.
Be sure to have both drives hooked up to the same sata chipset, and start the program as an Admin, and you should be up in no time at all.
This review is from: ADATA 32GB microSDHC Flash Card with Adapter Model AUSDH32GCL10-RA1
Pros: LIFETIME WARRANTY!
Cons: After almost a year we are having problems the one in the wifes phone. Luckily we are able to see it on my computer and move the pics to the desktop, but the phone is reading the card as corrupted on hers and my phone...
Other Thoughts: Im just glad they believe enough in their product to warranty them for life, for that I will stick with them.READ FULL REVIEW
