Been a Power House for years

Pros: I just ordered a 580 GTX SLI board (2 gpu), and I started thinking "hrmm I wonder if my CPU (this cpu) will be a bottleneck?" So I did some research and was plesently suprized that I'm still good to go its borderline but Its still good. I looked up my order history on newegg and I can't believe I built this system over 2 years ago and its still going strong, this shocks me because I usualy ride the wave of technology. I have ADHD and upgrade my PC the instant it makes me wait for anything. So the fact that I'm still using this processor speaks wonders. So I recommend anyone still using LGA775 and considering this processor as a CPU upgrade to do it. No reason to build it.
Cons: They all come with those generic intel CPU fan/coolers, I recommend upgrading it. There are alot of options.
Overall Review: System Built in 8-2009 Overclocked to 3.4 on air (had no reason to push it further) 16 gig ddr2 Raid 0 SSD OCZ Vertex 2 Dell 30" 1st vid 8800gtx 8-2009 2nd vid 285gtx 6-2010 (died 8-2011) 3rd vid 2x 580gtx sli 9-2011 This should last me another year or two hopefully past Dec 12th 2012 :P. It seems CPU's have finally become fast enough to last more than two years and still be useful. I've had this system longer than any other system I've built since the early 90's My two personal favorite upgrades of all time. 30" Monitor (eye candy) 2560x1600 :) SSD Boot Drives (no load times for anything)
