ASUS PB Series PB278Q 27

Pros: It is quite the upgrade from my 1600x900 20 inch VS207T-P. Runs adequately on 3570K with hd7970. average 40fps with most games on max graphics at 1440.
Was surprised to see some gaming modes included without being advertised.
I have 4 crosshairs to choose from and an on screen timer.

Cons: Minor black light bleed at various vertical viewing angles.
Worked great for the first month and then I started to get red artifacts randomly. Pixels would flicker red, typically on dark areas. Only happens when using DVI-D. Goes away temporarily when monitor is reset. HDMI works without artifacts but I have it connected to my DVR and would prefer to keep it that way. Have not tried the DisplayPort as my GPU has only mini display ports with the HDMI and DVI-D.

After a month, Asus support has yet to prove helpful.

Other Thoughts: Resetting the monitor each time artifacts form is a pain and I hope it won't damage the monitor.
I wish I had a new DualLink DVI-D cable to test and see if the cable is the problem but I'd hate to purchase one, have it not be the case and have wasted money.

Pros: Runs current games averaging over 40 fps on max setting with a 1080p monitor.

Cons: Can NOT run 3 displays at one time. My attempted configuration uses 3 1080p monitors using the mini Display Port, DVI, and HDMI outputs. It would allow a max of 2 monitors at a time.
