Pros: Fully customizable to any liking (ex. can use as a macro gaming pad if i want among many things), functions great as a desktop keyboard or i can even plug&play it on other computers as long as i have the additional power socket available. Since the main bulk of the keyboard is in the software stored on/in the monitor your settings go where you go. also on MadCatz website they have some pre-build profiles for macro's on some games and using google you can find many many more making life good (I usually dont want to manually program practically 500 macros commands for 1 game =P )

Cons: Now yes its not worth its near $300 pricetag, however, you must keep in mind that this is a keyboard ment for show, appeal; with the addition of gaming enhancements.(just as an example) think of it as buying a high end Audi instead of a high end and way less pricy Honda. Both similar specs, comfort, everything, etc.) Its the "NAMEBRAND" you pay a chunk more for but if you are one of the people whos willing to do that then by all means, this is a great keyboard!
