Pros: Fast even running Vista Home Premium and stock 3 Gigs. Not too bad ATSC(HDTV.)

Cons: Wish I could have ordered Bluetooth.

Other Thoughts: After building computers for years, I decided to "buy from scratch" and have I been happy with HP. Great products at a solid prices. Double A+ for and HP.

QNAP TS-109 Pro All-in-one NAS Server

5 out of 5 eggs Super Buy 11/07/2007

This review is from: QNAP TS-109 Pro All-in-one NAS Server

Pros: Super easy. Works on first turn on. Does what it was designed to do and more.
Open it up, install hard drive (easy), plug it in and go...

Cons: Initial Cost. (But worth it.)

Other Thoughts: Replace a NEW Windows Home Server with the Qnap and what an improvement. Easy to use, easy to update (almost monthly updates) to keep up with improvements. Share files on your home network or the world(WWW.) Easy included back-up program that copies files to the server where you can retrieve from any computer on the network. Too many options to describe and you'll never use them all.

Microsoft Windows Home Server 32 Bit 1 Pack

2 out of 5 eggs Save your money... 11/07/2007

This review is from: Microsoft Windows Home Server 32 Bit 1 Pack

Pros: Easy to install.

Cons: Slow. Not too many options. Forced to use Microsoft's options. Few add-ons currently available. BIG problem during "load balancing" -- hard disks heat up -- they get way too hot for my tastes.

Other Thoughts: Save your hard drive and just purchase a "real" server. offers a QNAP TS-109 Pro Diskless System Network Storage for a little bit more. Much more of a server than what Microsoft wants to give you. After you have spent money on your Home Server hardware, you could end up saving a lot. But if you've got lots of spare parts...
