MSI P67A-GD55 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: 1 button overclock; 4 RAM slots; USB 3

Cons: After only 1 year SATA ports 3 and 4 are dead/dying. They recognize my drives about 50% of the time, and they often cut out in Windows - requiring a power-off, wait, reboot, check if drives are in BIOS. On-board USB 2 dying, I've lost 2 ports so far.

Other Thoughts: When I bought this board it was highly rated. I think on re-evaluation a lot of people will have intermittent hardware problems with the integrated circuits.

This review is from: Link Depot USB30-6-MF 6 ft. Blue USB 3.0 Cable

Pros: It's 6 foot long
It's blue

Cons: It's slows USB 3 speed to slightly higher than USB 1.1 speed.

Other Thoughts: With a USB 3 flash drive plugged into the motherboard controller I regularly get ~ 75 - 120 Mbs. Using this cable plugged into the same port and the same flash drive, I'm lucky to get 10Mbs (both for an 8 GB file). Using this cable with a USB 2 flash I can get upto15 Mbs.
