This review is from: SAMSUNG D3 Station 2TB USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop External Hard Drive STSHX-D201TDB Black
Pros: Its works - have owned since June 2014.
Very reasonable speeds.
3 years warranty
Other Thoughts: Compelled to write review after seeing all of the failed reviews. I was here checking to buy another.
I've been using mine for approx. 1.5 years without any problems - regular backup routine.
Just a thought given the many failed reviews - not to advise others who probably are much more competent then me - but as a technique, I always run a FULL format and test any new storage media to ensure it works BEFORE adding any data. Doesn't everybody? Windows Disk Management format is too simple not to check. Seagate has a free diagnostic program "SeaTools for Window" that works great (WD has one too). Over the years I have had many new drives fail the format and/or diagnostic test and have been able to replace them before adding or losing data. Once tested, they tend to last forever (knock on wood). Also, knowing immediately allows return without any hassle.
Google "computer hard drive testing" if this is new info.
Sorry for the know-it-all advice but losing data is a bummer. Just a thought.
This review is from: ADATA 16GB UV128 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (AUV128-16G-RBY)
Pros: Reasonable speeds for price.
Once tested and reformat - they work and last.
Thumb slide and case work well and are comfortable to use.
Other Thoughts: For every day use these are great and have met my needs moving data, videos, and music.
Just a thought, I always do a full reformat on all storage media to ensure they work before adding my data. Over the years I have found several sticks and drives that failed the format and were replaced before adding and losing data - once they pass, they last forever. Also lets you replace under warranty without hassel. Just a thought.
Pros: Refurbished? Looks brand new.
Convenient for HTPC.
Mouse pad built in.
Cons: Mouse pad could be better. Clicking and dragging is frustrating.
Other Thoughts: I have 3 of these keyboards on my HTPCs - nothing fancy, basic TV, Netflix, and music, ect. I like this model and it does work well for my basic use. My only complaint is the mouse pad - while it is good, the ability to click and drag a scroll bar is a little frustrating. For the cost of the keyboard this is a very, very minor complaint.
I will continue to use these keyboards and recommend them for basic HTPC use.
