This review is from: Insten 1668044 25ft Black High Speed Black HDMI Cable with Ethernet M/M
Pros: as said, it does it's job and does it well.. clear signal with no interference from my gtx 750ti to my 43" plasma tv in the next room.. looks to be well made.. ran mine under the house by drilling 1" holes in the floor and using two tapered rubber plugs drilled out to fit the cable and then split down the length.. opened them up, ran the cable through the drilled hole and pushed them in to be flush with the floor.. perfect fit with no cold air or little critters able to come in through the holes...
Cons: glad i got the 25' and not the 20'; ended up having a little extra length to work with..
Other Thoughts: keeps things simple.. video and audio in one cable... really didn't need the ethernet part right now but am ready when i do.. would recommend this one..READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: this board has been around a while, but it still does the trick for me... as long as you don't need a 990fx set up, then this is a pretty solid deal.. supports up to 140 watt cpu, handles my four sticks of g skill 4gb 1866 without overclocking.. six sata III inside for all my drives, plenty of rear panel usb including 2@ 3.0... with only six mounts it still doesn't flex when attaching cables.. haven't messed much with o c ing, but the uefi bios is fairly easy to navigate and has plenty of options..
Cons: with this price there can be few complaints!
Other Thoughts: might be nice to have had another fan header or two.. but then again i like fans..READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Pros: have had windows 7 pro 64 on now four machines during the past 8 years or so... it's so good i am one who will not do the free upgrade to windows 10; hence buying this new copy for another build..
Cons: the little sticker that covers the product key has no instructions for removal... it looks just like it is a little paper and tape piece to be removed with a fingernail tip.. it isn't !!!! .. by the time i had tried to remove about half of it, it came to me that it is a 'scratcher' and not a removable sticker.. try scratching it with a nail or such first... mine is now so messed up i cannot get an activation done on it...
Other Thoughts: to me this seems more like one more ploy by ms to cause people problems with continuing to go with windows 7 instead of upgrading to windows 10... my older copies had the install disc inside a sturdy plastic container with the product key clearly visible and all that was wrapped in a hardboard sleeve... this time there is only the cardboard slip with the disc tossed inside with no protection or anything.. and the product key, as mentioned is all of 5/8" x 1/4" and hidden under that stupid 'tag'... there are no real online links to getting help with this issue, and i've had to ask newegg what i might be able to do.. i only hope it will be easier than i can imagine.... microsoft- you may be successful in getting some people to just accept moving everything to windows 10 as you'd like.. what you are doing with me is forcing me to start to learn operating systems other than windows ..period !READ FULL REVIEW
