This review is from: Fractal Design Define R5 Black Silent ATX Midtower Computer Case
Pros: My previous build used the R2, big brother to the R5, but a pain if you have to move it. The smaller R5 is perfect size for an ATX build with multiple video cards and water cooling. This turned out to be the quietest build I've ever put together, most of the credit goes to this case.
Cons: None to speak of.
Other Thoughts: My PC sits on carpet, I put little 'furniture glides' under the R5 rubber feet which makes it easier to move the case for cable access when needed.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Running with ASRock Z170 MB and 6600K CPU, enabled XMP timings in BIOS and memory running at rated timings without any problems. Very easy to setup. Low CAS timings. I was looking for memory with tight timing and good bandwidth without any fuss, this is it.
Cons: Sure, cost is always a consideration. In this case you get what you pay for, so not really a con.
Other Thoughts: I've never been disappointed by any G.Skill product I've purchased.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Fractal Design Define XL R2 Black Silent EATX Full Tower Computer Case
Pros: After years of using mid-size cases for my builds, squeezing the GPU in, figuring out how to fit 4 all the 3-1/2" drives, putting up with the rats nest of data and power cables, I was blown away by how quickly my new build went together using the Define XL R2 case. No muss, no fuss, there was plenty of room for everything and then some. Cable routing was easy, I can fit more HDDs than my MB can support. Sturdy case, I love easy to clean dust filters on the front and bottom. You couldn't ask for a quieter case, lots of internal sound absorbing material to mute fan noise. Although I'm just using a single GPU this case will allow 4x of the longest cards without any problems. It includes more than enough accessory hardware (screws and such) for most builds. I've found my new favorite case for future builds.
Cons: I like having separate LEDs for HDD and Power, this case only has a single LED for either/or.READ FULL REVIEW
