Pros: I paired this kit with a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 board and AMD Phenom II X4 955 and the XMP configured the memory timings to 7-7-7. Windows 7 has been fast and stable, just the way I like it.
Cons: None.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SteelSeries Ikari Black 5 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Laser Mouse
Pros: I purchased this mouse back on Feb. 7, 2011 and it was a great mouse. Loved the ergonomics for being held in my hand, loved the light resistance of the mouse buttons to click.
Cons: I started to have problems last week with single clicking on things and the mouse would double click by itself. I opened a support ticket and found that SteelSeries has a 1 year warranty for North America customers which I fall into.
Other Thoughts: The double clicking problem is annoying and it looks like I will be replacing the mouse with a Logitech mouse. I had the Logitech MX500 and G5 and never had problems with either mouse. Now I decide to try something new and the Ikari doesn't live up to long-term reliability.
Looks like I will be switching to a Logitech G9x
This review is from: SUPERMICRO MBD-H8SCM Micro ATX Server Motherboard Socket C32 AMD SR5650 DDR3 1333
Pros: Great motherboard, it's stable running VMware vSphere 4.1 with 2 active Linux guest OSes (32- ad 64-bit), FreeBSD and Windows Server 2003. Memory used is 1 pair of Newegg part number N82E16820139271, Opteron 4180 running the show on a single 160GB HD.
Cons: When I first installed the motherboard, it worked great the first day. Used an older ATX power supply with this setup. I shut it down and turned it on a few days later and the computer would not POST. I ended up sending it to California for RMA and it turned out the BIOS had lost its programming. One reflashed BIOS and new Antec power supply later and the system has been stable for 2 months straight running 24/7.
Other Thoughts: This motherboard supports 4/6/8 core Opteron 4000-series processors and is great for a home lab setup or for production use, in my opinion.READ FULL REVIEW
