Verbatim Store 'n' Go 2GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model 95183
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Decent flash drive. The LED can be a bit annoying

Cons: I've used dozens of them. Both of the 2GB one, and the 1GB one as part of school. All students were assigned them.
After extended use, the slider that pulls the memory stick in/out of the red bit wears down, making it push itself in when you try to insert it in a computer. At that point, it is impossible to insert it without holding down the white tab while you insert it.

On other times, there is a lot of friction and it is sometimes difficult to extend the memory from the red case.

Flash drive is a bit fat, meaning you won't fit two together without both usb sticks being at a small angle. Would be impossible to fit three together.

Other Thoughts: For a flash drive, it is decent enough.
Better to spend $5-10 more on an 8 or 16GB drive. 1 and 2GB drives are getting old, fast.

CISCO AIR-CB21AG-A-K9 Wireless Cardbus Adapter
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

4 out of 5 eggs Good card, bad price 04/05/2012

This review is from: CISCO AIR-CB21AG-A-K9 Wireless Cardbus Adapter

Pros: Fast connection

Cons: Windows XP didn't have the built in driver

Other Thoughts: We were throwing out a few laptops at work, so I took three of them to keep. Each had this wireless card in it. XP didn't have native drivers, so it was pretty hard to get the driver file on the computer.. The cd drive didn't work, and I had no floppy drive I could put it on a disk! But I managed to get an ethernet card, and it worked fine after I got the driver.
Looking online, $100 for it new? Unbelievable! This is legacy tech. It shouldn't be sold for $100 new. $20 sounds fair, if it should be sold at all.
But according to newegg I now have $300 in pcmcia wireless cards. O,o

GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

4 out of 5 eggs Good board, but has quarks 01/09/2012

This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: -mSATA slot for a card
-PS/2 port for legacy kb/m
-A bunch of sata ports. Seriously. There is a ton!
-Integrated NIC
-USB 3.0 headers
-Able to store bios profiles. Easy to recover after a bad OC attempt without having to clear CMOS

Cons: -One of the heat sinks is fairly wobbly. Almost thought it was something else when it bent so much, but it is held in with two tabs. Not an issue if you aren't removing the system fan very often
-Beeps on a successful POST. Its fine, just a personal con. an disable it by enabling quick boot though
-SATA5 is disabled when you have a mSATA card in, which personally shouldn't happen, but then again who is going to have NINE disk drives at a time?
-Software is odd. Only thing you really need are network drivers.

Other Thoughts: Good board none the less.
The software included is odd. Don't need anything other the the network drivers IMHO. Includes two OCing utilities, one of which crashed and upon restarting the system I had to reset my CMOS. Only utility I find useful is the fan speed control one, but again that isn't necessary unless you are OCing
