This review is from: iolo System Mechanic - Unlimited PCs (install it on all your home PCs)
Pros: The program has blended into my system pretty seamlessly. I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit. There are many operations that let me choose to run. Other things can be made to run in the background automatically. Three programs I've had before that work like "system optimizers" were too aggressive. Within several months I had to reinstall the operating system again.
The same thing with each system optimizer until System Mechanic. It warns me when I need to do some maintenance. Then just a few clicks and am good to go.
Cons: The one weak point I have with this program; It is difficult for me to understand English spoken by the staff that I spoke with. Pretty thick accent.
Other Thoughts: I'm seeing smoother overall running of my system unlike after using several "system optimizing" programs. Easy install and easy operation. I give an overall thumbs up for this product.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Same as below.
Cons: Same as below.
Other Thoughts: I didn't see an edit button, sorry for taking up space. My former shredder referred to in an earlier review was a Royal HT500X Shredder 5-Sheet Cross Cut Shredder with Auto Start/Stop. I owned it for 5 years with very few problems. The Rosewill is rated 8 pages and the Royal model rated at 5.
To me they have virtually identical in performance but the shredder bin is at least twice the volume in the Royal. It has a see thru bin but the Rosewill is made of sturdy dark plastic with a little window near the top. It's kind of nice to be able to see through everywhere so you can jiggle it to flatten the shredded paper.
Hope this addition was helpful to shoppers.
Pros: It will fit nicely under your desk.
Cons: The item calls it an 8 page shredder. I can't even shred 8 personal checks together. It will fairly comfortably shred 5.
It will shred 3 Business Checks but it likes 2 a lot better.
It really bogged down shredding 3 Bank statements, as the old bank statements were heavy paper.
VERY small basket so emptying and handling is very frequent.
Other Thoughts: I wore out a shredder from SAMS Club. Can't remember the brand or proposed sheets it could shred. It was about the same power but had about 3 times the shredder receptacle volume. The one from SAMS has a mesh basket so it's easy to see when full or needs to be shaken to even out shredded paper to level the shreds. I would not buy this model again. It would be nice if there is an actual measurement for power for shredders like torque or horse power. It's a nice little shredder if you have VERY low shredding needs.READ FULL REVIEW
