Crucial MX300 2.5

  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: I'm not really noticing that much a difference in write times between this and an WD Velociraptor 500GB HD. But it does boot to the log in screen within 6 seconds. It also shuts down in the same amount of time.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I've only had this SSD for about a month now. I'll come back in a year or so to update.

4 out of 5 eggs Windows 10 Pro USB Flash Drive 12/16/2016

After that was installed I had to go to Microsoft website and download a small utility so I could download Windows 10 from their website. So the USB drive was useless for me.

Other Thoughts: I knocked one egg off due to the frustration the USB drive gave me. Spending nearly 2 hours trying to troubleshoot the issue...

Pros: none

Cons: had the drive for two and a half years and it will no longer boot up. It started up just fine in the morning, shut it down to go to church, 6 hours later I turn it back on and it freezes at the windows loading screen. I restart it to do a repair with no success.

Other Thoughts: I decided to try an SSD drive. I just ordered it last night. Hopefully I will get at least 3 years out of that one.
