Pros:
-Loads noticeably faster
-Works great with a matching HDD in RAID 0
Cons: -Perhaps a little pricey for 150Gb but it's worth it
Pros: fast loads games notably fast and OS too
Cons:
my drive has this little scratching sound but I don't know if it's supposed to be like that and at first with windows vista 64 bit had lock up problems but i downloaded an SATA controller driver and haven't had any lockups since
-honestly I don't think this is worth its price it should be a little bit less than 200 buckaroos
Overall Review: i thought my drive was bad but you have to download a sata controller driver to not have problems with vista (64 bit?) i dont know about 32 bit since i have 64 bit
Pros: Obviously its blazing fast, I wont even talk about putting these things in Raid 0. It even looks cool!
Cons: You could buy a WD 750 gig for the same price and about the same performance, as far as i hear.
Overall Review: Bragging rights! I love em!
Pros: SATA. Super fast. Vista loads in 25 seconds. Not any louder than a 7200 segate baracuda. Built to last.
Cons: None: They just need to increase the capacity options
Pros: Notably faster. You don't have to see specs, etc. to see the difference. Similar to going from 5400 to 7200 if you remember that. Maybe even a bigger delta.
Cons: If you have a small office in the house, you might not appreciate the sound level. Sound deadening / vibration kit might help somewhat. And cost per MB.
Overall Review: I always wanted to try this drive after reading the various reviews for a long time. I'm going to use this in my Beta machine since it gets reimaged or reloaded often and lives in another room.
Pros: 3ware hardware RAID with 4 of these bad boys in RAID 0+1 offer performance and redundancy that no others can match. These drives haven't failed on my yet. I have 75 and 150 giggers. They have run nonstop for 3 years.
Cons: For the folks that compare running 2 deathstar drives to 1 raptor- let's do some math. 14,200 RPM vs 10,000 RPM. Also, for the folks that don't understand what a winblows SATA RAID floppy is, please step away from the Intarweb. Both of you will hurt yourself.
Overall Review: These drives, along with non-software raid(3ware or LSI), bring the hammer down and will run on Linux, Windows, and any other OS you desire. Btw, that lil taiwanese raid plug on your motherboard is not hardware RAID. It's done in software. That goes for Promise cards too. Poop on a stick is all it is. Good drives, but not for boneheads grasping for a clue to life.
Pros: Low seek times and high RPM make this drive noticeably faster than most others except for SCSI drives, which are unnecessarily expensive IMO.
Cons: High price per GB. It's worth it, in my opinion, but others may differ.
Overall Review: This is the third SATA WD Raptor I have owned. One at work and two at home. I've had the first two for three years and not a problem yet.

Pros: Antistatic, Velvet bag, retail drive packaging, jumpers for OPT1, very strong SATA Cables. Formats 149 gb in 20 minutes full NTFS or less, boots from post to XP Prosp2 in 12 seconds, moves gigs of data very quickly. Installs bloated software quickly. Installed OS in about 20 minutes or less. Quiet and rather cool.
Cons: I could only buy 4 for my Antec 900 case.
Overall Review: Two in RAID 0 Promise on a ASUS P4P-800-E deluxe board, two on SATA as normal drives.
Now I need a one tera or greater backup to replace my old One Touch 3.
I almost fell for Best Buy's Raptors at 170 dollars on sale but those are the lessor model and not include the enterprise level reliability rating.
Those prices are worth every dollar, but they need to start coming down because I will buy more of them.
