Are these comfortable for prolonged use with glasses?

I put in long hours wearing these headphones while wearing glasses and don't experience any discomfort.  I use the default, non-felty cushions.  My glasses do not have bulky frames; that might make a difference.

Question 2

Does this headset offer USB connection to PC? I must have USB as my new sound card will not run a mic through 3.5mm. Thanks in advance!

Yes it does. But remember the "usb" connection is basically it's own sound card. So I hope it doesn't overly complicate your setup. Being able to control the volume of the headset and mic require that it acts as a sound card.

Question 3

Does the mic audio replay through the headset? It's a feature that I've always enjoyed, especially on noise-canceling headsets.

Unfortunately, this headset does not have talk-back. However, that can be enabled during PC use by using a third-party audio mixing software. That's really the only thing this headset is missing. I use it for XBone, PC, phone, tablet, skype, twitch, etc..., and have had a 5-star experience all the way. One thing that helps is I switched to the soft velour ear pads. They are much less isolating than the leather pair, thus allowing me to hear my own voice when chatting. That's the next best thing to talk-back. If you can live without that one feature, this is an amazing headset.

Question 4

I'm unclear on Xbox usage and power.  Do I need this to plug into both the xbox stereo headset adapter AND A separate USB power source?  My Xbox setup puts power sources a good 8 feet or so away from me.  But if I can just use the 3.5mm jack and attach it to the controller, then that's great.

The USB connection is to power the sound card adapter. You don't necessarily need the adapter, unless you want to take advantage of the 7.1 and changing volume/mute on the fly. Personally the headphones sound fantastic without the adapter but keep in mind it uses about 50 ohms of power or so if I'm not mistaken. My regular PC port can handle this no problem, but my Galaxy S6 3.5 mm jack can't use the headphones full potential in terms of loudness. Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with Xbox controllers, I know it will work, but maybe not as loud with your xbox power source.

Is it worth the higher price to get this over the original HyperX headset? does anyone know how much better this is?

The quality of the headset itself is not significantly better (altho it is slightly better) but the higher price comes from the USB sound card you plug the headset into instead of your 3.5mm jacks. If you plan on using a addon soundcard or external amp and dac the Cloud 1 will be just fine for you. however if you want the simple plug and play compatibility of USB and features offered by the Cloud II's inline sound card then go with this one. I've Had mine for a year and 2 months and have never once regretted choosing this one. in fact i even bought a second one for my wife about 4 month ago.

Is there an eq to adjust the sound? that would be really useful for me.

No not that I know of. Honestly this is the best head set I have ever owned and the sound proof part is great. The bass and treble are spot on and everything is so clear. The jack to the left of the pic allows you to crank up the sound.

Idk about that, but I had a strange problem with static electricity where it would LITERALLY SHOCK MY EARS. Otherwise it was great. It didn't always have that issue...it was very strange.

Does it work for xbox?

This headset will work with an Xbox One as long as the controller is the more up-to-date version with the headphone Port built in. It will do both game audio and chat with no problem.
