is this drive for a gaming pc/editing pc or a server or something?

Primarily used for NAS file/media server, since they are designed to run 24/7 without overheating. But I have also used in my all purpose PC (emails, editing, downloading as well as some gaming). This is a great, reliable drive if you need a lot of storage, but to get the speed/low latency needed for the latest games, I would recommend an SSD instead.
