Cons: Slow burning speeds max 2.4x that's the only reason why this set is so cheap compared to verbs in any case dual layer media burn best at lower speeds if you wanna save some money just be willing to sacrifice a 20Min burn into a 37 or whatever just as i did.

Overall Review: I seriously don't understand why these discs are getting bad reviews. I've burned five xbox 360 backups so far, and NONE of them have failed. Just follow these simple rules: 1. Make sure you burn these at x2.4. I'll repeat in caps for emphasis. MAKE SURE YOU BURN THESE USING THE x2.4 SPEED SETTING. 40 minutes is a small price to pay for actually getting a working disc. I also did this with the 60 Verbatims I used to have and none of them failed. 2. Make sure your DVD drive is newish. There's nothing worse then trying to burn data to a disc with an OLD DRIVE. At least make sure the drivers are up to date. 3. Make sure what you're burning actually works. 4. Don't mess around with your burner's settings while it's burning... If you actually took the time to follow these rules and you're still getting coasters, then you might have a bad batch and might want to think about getting your money back. Burned with a stock TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-H653Q drive.

Pros: Works very well with NEC burner. No problems.

Cons: Disks shipped from east coast had media code of RICOHJPND00. Ones from west coast had RITEK D01, and burn at higher speeds.

Overall Review: This vendor is being dishonest (but so are many others) by selling at least two different products that are not compatible, but using identical packaging. Fuji does the same thing, but at least you can check where it's made (Japan vs Taiwan) to see what you are getting.

Pros: Works perfectly on my Pioneer DVR-108. Many, many burns and I've yet to produce a coaster. Out of 12 set top DVD players I've tested this media with there were only 2 that exhibited any issues (occasional artifacts while playing - they still read the disc). However, these 2 players also had issues with regular store bought titles as well. Two of the players that worked without a problem were 8-9 year old Sonys. Newegg's price on this brand of product generally blows other vendors out of the water and this particular product is no exception. Newegg's service, as always, rocks.

Cons: None. This product suits MY needs perfectly.

Overall Review: Its always a good idea to do a bit of research before purchasing a large quantity of media. Try purchasing a single disc to see if it meets your needs/expectations. There's also many websites available that can be used to gauge how well a certain type of media would work with various burners/players. Many people fail to do *any* real research on their media before they purchase it and then proceed to blast the product in public. If the media is truly of poor qualify a little research using _objective_ sources would have revealed this fact. If you still run into problems check the website of your burner's manufacturer and see if there are any firmware updates available for your drive. In many cases upgrading the firmware will help. After trying my first disk with my NEC ND-3540A (1.01 factory firmware) dual layer DVD burner to backup a 7GB+ movie, it failed on the second layer. After this I went to the NEC website and downloaded the latest 1.03 firmware update for my burner then tried to backup the same disk again, which it worked! Sense then I have burned may other similar size disks which take advantage of the DL media without any problems. I was using Nero 7 Platinum Edition and no other changes were made other than performing the firmware update. So what I would suggest for others that may have had problems with this media, is to update your firmware if possible and hope for the best. Good luck! I've included a link to the firmware download website for people using NEC brand drives...

Overall Review: I've used these DL discs, oh, for over a year now, probably gone through about 10 packs. I've only had a few coasters, whcih isn't bad at all. I use a BenQ DW1640, and these discs seem to work fine with it. Use Imgburn or DvdDecrypter for best results, as the layer break will be placed correctly. I have no problem playing these in my regular DVD player, though I have had issues with older players. Probably not the media's fault though. Anyway, great price, and they work for me. If they don't work for you, check your burner's firmware, it may need an update.

Overall Review: i use Nero 7 ultra and my NEC DVD-RW ND-3550A and no coasters ever through 50 of these babies. try not using your machine while burning to improve success.
