Pros: Allows you to talk to deliverymen and solicitors while you are away. Alarm might scare off intruder if you stay on top of your notifications and check each one when you receive them (yes, even those when you sleep).
Cons: The lights on my floodlight cam do not turn on when the device detects motion. The camera will turn on and start recording, but the lights won’t turn on unless the person (or thing) is closer to the Ring device. Adjusting the detection zone does not help. I wish they both worked in tandem with each other.
Overall Review: During setup, it would not connect to 2 diff apple devices or an android device. Walked through troubleshooting steps and Ring device wouldn't transmit its SSID so I could connect with it.
I have 2 other ring devices which are nice, but they do not prevent or deter crime. They only serve to give you panic attacks when you see the crime video hours after the fact.
