Is the lens made of glass or is it plastic?

I can't say absolutely for sure but think it is plastic, that said it seems to work just fine.  get a nice even beam until focused very tightly.

does this include rechargeable battery if i buy it?

No, the Rosewill RLFL-13003 Cree XPE-R2 LED Search Flashlight set Zoom 300 lumen w/Bicycle Bracket does not include three rechargeable batteries.  IMHO, rechargeable batteries are mandatory, unless you can burn money without a thought.

Question 3

Does the bracket/flashlight attachment point rotate 90 degrees from what is shown in the photo? As shown, it could not be mounted on a bicycle handlebar...

I have not installed it yet. Inspecting the frame visually, it does appear that you could rotate it. Otherwise, it would not make sense the way it is demonstrated in the picture.

Is it possible to order just the bicycle mount?

I wish I could speak with certainty.  I bought 4 of these lights and am very happy with them.

However, I've never attempted to order the bicycle mount separately.  If you already have the light and just lost or damaged the mount, you could request to purchase a mount by contacting Rosewill directly.  Or, just purchase another light and mount through Newegg.  The light is versatile, inexpensive and certainly worth having as an extra.

Question 5

Just got mine - light DOES rotate on the mount,  so should work fine on bike handlebar.  Anybody know if it's safe to use an unprotected 18650 in this light? The included data sheet says 'over voltage and short circuit protection'...

yes you can I am running a rechargeable 18650 in mine. Love it  also states that in the first overview paragraph hope this helps, my battery is a rechargeable Li-ion bought from battery junction

Does it have a "flash" setting?

I'm not sure what you mean by "flash" setting.
The RLFL-13003 has 5 modes:
Highest brightness, Medium brightness, low brightness, fast strobe, slow strobe
300lm(100%), 150lm(50%), 30lm(30%), 300lm(Strobe), 300lm(S.O.S)

Question 7

Anyone know if this has the memory function, where when you turn the light back on, it turns on to the last mode you had it on?  (i.e. if it was at the 50% level, it will turn back on to the 50% level).  I hate the other kind where when you turn it on, it goes to the next mode, and you have to cycle through a bunch of times to get to last mode you used the flashlight at.  Thaniks

It does not have a memory function. It will always default back to the brightest mode. To change modes, only a half press of the button is required and there are only 5 modes. Its not much work to get back to your preferred mode setting.
