is this for a 5 1/4 floppy disc?  Does it work with a usb port and on Mac os X

Yes it works by connecting it to a USB port. No it is not for 5 1/4 floppies . It is for 3 1/2 Floppies. I havn't tried it on my Macboor pro but works fine on my PC.  Hope this helps.

How to make it work after plugging the USB port?

Uou should be sblr yp floppy disc in the drive and it shouls show up on your svreen. The USB port takes it to your computer.  I know tjat I have not had a problem witjh mine and I was just playing Anchors Away to a friend of mine (A Marine) znd it works.  I also was [laying some Midi  Music tjat is on floppy drives with out any proble,.  I do have to go to the computer and find the A Drive and info on the floppy will then come up.  Then youu click on what youare looking gor and it should come up for you. Good Luck.  Let me know if I can help any further.

Yes, the drive works flawlessly with Windows 10.  I have had it in service for 5 months with no issues at all.
