Will the flash drive portion accept other capacity (such as 64Gb) micro SD cards (and other brands as well)?

Not sure why I was asked to answer this question, seeing as the one I purchased lacked the reader- However; as long as the cards are the same dimensions, it should technically work.

Would this work in my HTC Desire a Eye smartphone?

Google says the HTC Desire takes up to a 128gb MicroSD card. This is a 32gb and has worked well for many others in their mobile devices.
