Sorry I answered incorrectly before I was thinking of a different card. ..   I bought 2 of these cards for an s3 and s4. Both cards work without a problem and are able to record video without lag.  Transferred 30gb from pc to card via internal reader at quick speed (can't remember exactly but safe to safe at least 30mb a second)...  I would buy again and recommend...   Packaging appeared to be authentic but I'm not 100% just because I really don't know how to tell...

Would just like to confirm: is  this item is compatible with a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone?

I'm not positive but it should be. I used it for my Galaxy Note 3 and it worked fine for a few months but then became write protected without warning and now I can no longer add or delete files from it. Samsung offered a warranty replacement but I do not want to send them back the defective card since it still  has extremely sensitive personal data on it so I'm just gonna take the financial loss.

I have this card and im trying to transfer songs from my phone to my sd card but after about 600 songs the files become corrupt, why is that?

I would say that maybe one or more of the songs are corrupt. In this order, reformat the microSD card. Transfer the songs in batches of 100 (this will help to let you know which 100 contains the corrupt files). If this still fails, then check if you are able to transfer those 600 songs onto another microSD card. That should let you know if its the card or the songs. Worse case scenario RMA it to Newegg and they will replace it. They have the BEST customer service out there.

Nope, it contains a micro SD slot that supports up to 64gb. Just pop the back off, plug the micro SD in and you are good to go. I forget if the slot is below the battery or not on the s4, but it should be simple to recognize. This micro SD will definitely be a great addition to your s4, should you choose to purchase it!

The card will "work" but you will only be able to use 32GB of it as that is the highest capacity your device can use. Better to get a 32GB card if it's sole purpose is to stay in your device.
