Pros: Sharp crisp image. Great size. Sharp look. I personally enjoy monitors that have minimal bordering and have a crisp sharp look to the body as well as the image. This has both!
Cons: None. I did get 1 dead pixel on the upper right corner...not a huge deal though Id wished for none...welcome to the world of monitors :)
Overall Review: Excellent buy for the price. Good response and contrast and a quality product.
Comments: Great monitor, great shipping; no dead pixels. Half-life 2 looks great!!
Pros: Never owned any LCD monitors, bought this on reviews alone. Have been using 19 inch samsung CRT monitors for a long time and figured I needed more desk space and the ability to multitask adobe products. I bought 2 of these and use the dvi connections from a X1900XT. They are exceedingly bright, almost to the point it is painful but this is a nice thing. The dark colors are rich and deeper in color than they should be with the brightness as high as it is. Not much tweaking was done other than to reduce overall brightness. No dead pixels even when these were sent to a military base in Germany. I play quite a bit of Battlefield 2 and Joint Operations and I couldn't be more pleased. Since the max resolution is 1200x1024 and I run a 1900XT I can turn up every single setting to max in every game. Even at the low resolution the games look so sexy and fluid, very impressed. No ghosting, no streaking, no pixelation.
Cons: Max resolution of 1200x1024, painfully bright, no real adjustments for monitor position. For example, no tilt or twist on the stand. Since the monitor is bright all the time after adjustment, using photoshop and other editting programs the colors tend to be less saturated and washed out. Not by much, but it is noticeable. Newegg will also not ship 19inch monitors or bigger to AMERICAN military bases overseas, but they will ship Logitech Z-5500 speaker set that weighs a ton and has a refridgerator sized box to me.
Overall Review: Nice blue glow on power buttons, very good feel to the buttons too. The amount of heat that the monitors is very minimal, high contrast between temperatures of CRT and two LCD's. For never seeing the monitor in person and only going by reviews on sale sites and computer review sites was a risk especially when buying two. However, I am overly pleased and couldn't be happier. Pros: I spent about 6 months searching for the right 19' LCD at the right price point and chose this one; very satisfied. I've had the monitor for a month now and have been using DVI since Day 1 (had my own cable). No dead pixels at all. Beautiful picture. No ghosting in Half Life 2, Counter Strike: Source, Far Cry, Doom 3, or Morrowind. DVD's look great. A big step up from my old 15' LCD. Love the blue LED (which BTW blinks slowly on/off if in standby mode - could by annoying to some); overall very clean look.
Cons: I couldn't get software that came with monitor to install correctly (probably user error), but I haven't needed it yet. Minor bleeding at the top.
Overall Review: When I get my Xbox 360, I will be able to use the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV cable to run the 360 on my monitor at the native resolution (1280 x 1024), which is very close to the 1080p HD resolution.
Pros: Response time, size, sexy cabinet.
Cons: No DVI... but this isn't bad enought to keep me from giving this a 5. You can get one for xx.xx.... very cheap. Also the top and bottom of the screen show light bleeding through on an all black screen (not very noticable though).
Overall Review: Didn't want to leave my crt <3 I play a ton of games and didn't want to buy a monitor with ghosting. After researching monitors for a couple weeks I decided to go with this and am very happy I did. CSS = beautiful. WoW = beautiful. BF2 = beautiful. VERY little ghosting, you can still tell the difference between crt and lcd but nothing major at all. GET THIS MONITOR NOW!
Pros: This thing is a beast. It is so bright I have the brightness at zero and I still almost squint (which is a good thing). ABSOLUTELY no ghosting whatsoever even in the demanding games such as F.E.A.R. It's response time is great too which is also a plus for games. Also not one dead pixel (not yet at least) but overall this thing was the best purchase besides my 7800GT I could've made for my pc.
Cons: Too bright (if that is a con)
Pros: Great picture and display for the value. Also, great shipping prices from UPS and Newegg.
Cons: No DVI cable like other monitors. I would also like to see optional USB ports on the monitor.
Overall Review: UPS and Newegg delivered the monitor as promised. The cost for three day shipping was great!!!
Pros: I just converted from long-time CRT use to this LCD. I went from a viewsonic P95F, which is excellent for gaming, to the Samsung 940B. My initial impression was disappointment, becuase everything appeared washed out and videos, pictures, and games looked horrible. I did not find Samsung's software very intuitive in adjusting the color, although once I configured the colors through Natural Color and raised the red, blue and green to around 1.5 everything fell into place. The monitor is bright, clear, and vibrant. DVD's look amazing, and most importantly, there are no dead pixels, and no ghosting in BF2, F.E.A.R., or Call of Duty 2. I am very pleased with the monitor, and although Newegg would not honor a price drop that occurred before they shipped it, the delivery was faster than expected.
Cons: Samsung's software is not so hot, although admittedly I am not too experienced with LCD's. The stand is not height adjustable, and does not rotate. NO DVI CABLE. So, order one with your monitor. (cheap at least)
Overall Review: Everything seems more vibrant and alive with the LCD, so I am pretty happy with it.
