SAMSUNG 941BW 19" WXGA+ 1440 x 900 D-Sub, DVI-D LCD Monitor

Pros: First off thanks to newegg for the lightning fast shiping. Secondly straight out of the box this thing is just gorgeous. The widescreen effect on games is amazing im going from a 21"CRT and what a difference! I am a hardcore gamer i play CSS,CS all the BF series and a few novalogic games. So you can tell im an FPS person. I bought this because of the low ms rates and hoped there would be no ghosting. I get NO ghosting whatsoever with CS and CSS, with BF2 and BF2142 i get a mild ghosting issue but not really noticeable. This monitor is great for not only the gamer but also the business atmosphere. I am truly impressed by the vibrance and color of this LCD "no more having to adjust brightness just for CSS". A++ On this one there is NOTHING bad I can say about this and im a hard customer to please!

Cons: NONE BUY THIS OR YOULL WISH YOU HAD!

Pros: Zero dead pixels, easy setup, bright with crisp details and wide is the way to go.I'm in the process of building a new Dual Core Video editing system and a decent monitor is a major component. My old monitor is a Samsung 19inch 950p CRT which I've been using for over 7 yrs without a problem, this is part of the reason I went with a Samsung again.When I fired up Premiere Pro on the new one next to the old I was blown away by not only the picture quality but the added space that the widescreen provides for Premiere Pro's timeline and toolbars.Also I could see no ghosting when playing video with effects and transitions thanks to the 4ms response time.Another feature I like about this monitor is the narrow bezel or frame around the screen which is good for a dual monitor setup,oh yes, tomorrow I will be buying another one.Thanks to Newegg for ulta fast processing and shipping. I ordered on Tuesday and recieved it on Thursday.

Pros: Buy this monitor if your not rich but want a great LCD. No other LCD in this price range (or quality) have DVI. When I first pulled it out of the box (which had a neat handle) I was shocked at how big this thing actually was! The actual viewable dimensions for the monitor are: H:16 1/8" (40.95cm) V:10 1/16" (25.55cm) I am going from a 17" CRT and I am very happy. No dead pixels. When I finally got this to 1440x900 all I can say is WHAOO! It's soo pretty! I was worried about the contrast being only 500:1 but unless I plan on using this in my back yard during summer time I don't expect any problems. I had to turn the brightness/contrast down to 30/50% so I wouldn't burn my retinas or get a tan in my dimly lit computer room.

Cons: This was the first monitor I've owned that the drivers were required to get the full res. Then to actually get to that full res without a garbled screen I had to turn the refresh rate to 60Hz, set 1440x900, reset it to 75Hz, then wet my pants because how nice it looked. (That last part wasn't as much required as an involuntary response.)

Overall Review: The included cable is a DVI-D Single link cable NOT a DVI-A like "bagel man" said. The port on the monitor doesn't even support a DVI-A cable. (D=Digital A=Analog) I'm pretty sure all video cards these days have DVI so I’m not sure why anyone would want to use analog VGA anymore. For those whining about no height adjustment there is a really easy solution: That nice lever on the side of your office chair? Pull up.

Pros: Sharp display; bright & clear w/ vivid colors Worked out of box with my Belkin SOHO KVM Switch (using the analog connection, currently) Intelligent cable management; removable back panel feeds video and power cables towards spine of monitor. ZERO dead pixels Bezel frame around screen is Super Thin -- only 1/2" thick! Ideal for dual monitors. 3 year manufacturer warrenty.

Cons: Missing a female screw on the analog dsub connector. No height adjustment. Base must be attached.

Overall Review: Samsung engineers high quality monitors and backs them up with 3 year warrenties. With the 40 buck rebate over holiday shopping season season (knocking this under $2OO) it's an especially great deal. Scout these out at your local computer store -- they will impress you. Beware though; The rebate is *only* available online and not at retail stores! (specifically, rebate invalid at Best Buy, Circuit City, Comp USA, Fry, J&R, and Micro Center)

Pros: Clean wide display both Mac & PC. I am using it for a video switch with a PC on the analog input and a Mac Mini on the digital, really making it nice for a PC guy to try to transition to Mac.

Cons: Can't find any except the lower height creating a trade off for vertical vs. horizontal real estate. Difficult adjust initially but is fine now.

Pros: NO dead pixels, extremely clear and bright....had to turn down the brightness although not a bad thing. Cable connections can be hidden behind a removable panel. I love it....would like another for panomania

Pros: Pixel perfect; not one dead pixel. Nice sharp detail for the desktop and games*.

Overall Review: I use a Linux only system so I'm very limited on 3D games to test the monitor out. But the games that I do play look very nice. No ghosting or scanning of any kind (at least that I can tell). The only thing that takes a little to get used to is the slightly shorter look of the games. But perfect in every way. The extra $cost was very worth it. I would buy another.

Pros: I've had this monitor for almost two years now, and had no problems whatsoever. Clear image.

Cons: Uh, didn't come with a free monkey. Or pie. Pie would have been nice.
