Pros: - Easy to setup as the cables are provided. - Samsung has an outstanding reputation for their wonderful displays on TV's and phones, but many overlook then in monitors for gaming. They surely have kept to their reputation and have provided a great display, blur free and very easy to adjust the settings on. - The monitor curve may take some getting used to, but after about 3 days you'll love it. with the monitor being curved, it's best if you can sit directly in front of the display to avoid the new curved feature on the eyes of you have never had a curved display. - The colors on this monitor show the images in such detail, they seem lifelike and as if they are right in front of you. I read some reviews that they do not pop, but for my liking they do pop and make the display enjoyable and relaxing. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so make your monitor the best and enjoy what features this monitor has to offer. - Looking at this monitor, the cables are easily hidden and I like the clean back of the monitor. It's easy to have this monitor as a masterpiece to be proud of and not one pushed in the corner to hide the power cord and long cables. Well done Samsung. - The resolution is so high the monitor seems larger than 27 inches as you get more screen real-estate for your game, movie and your web browsing. The blacks are extremely black and the white level is very well in the display. This does not look washed out or have any bleed effect. - I love this for work. it's easy to do the snap feature in windows to make the screen perfectly split in the middle with no bezel or break. - AMD freesync support is a huge plus. You can count on this monitor having the optimal display when using AMD to handle the intense games.
Cons: None. Simple to use and takes minutes to setup.
Overall Review: - Many of the reviews I have seen on this monitor are looking for features that do not exist and are being held as a standard to this monitor. That's not fair to do. If you want certain features and expect them, then you shouldn't buy this and get upset you didn't have those features in this monitor. Plain and simple. - Do not be upset this has no speakers or audio--- this is a monitor. Let's be clear, gaming machines use expensive sound cards and a monitor is not the silent purpose of the audio output. - You will hear that this monitor only has a refresh rate of 60, but realistically, you won't see a difference on the monitor unless you are over the threshold of 37 inches. - The price to performance is by far the best on the market. I would highly recommend this monitor to any gamer, or anyone that's looking to have one monitor instead of two. The no bezel is extremely easy and enjoyable to view for long periods of the day.
Pros: The curve does its job. It is a pleasure to view. The thin bezel really does a great job of making the monitor not feel like a 27”. It really feels no larger than my old 24” professional Dell monitor. Clarity is outstanding and the sharpness of the image is wonderful. It does have game mode and freesync options. Comes with an HDMI and DP to Mini DP cable.
Cons: The image quality is dull. The colors are there and the contrast and detail are there, but nothing about the image “pops”. I was able to adjust the monitor with the preset settings and even manual ones, but I was unable to get a picture color and vibrancy that beat an $89 acer. The limited ports are a killer. Mini DP and HDMI are the only two inputs that you have available. The provided HDMI cord is basically a proprietary cable for this monitor. No VESA mounts. No audio passthrough or internal speakers. You can’t raise or lower the monitor.
Overall Review: With all of those cons out of the way, would I purchase this monitor? Absolutely yes, and in a heartbeat. Would I purchase it for an office setting or for gaming? Both, and I would recommend it for both. The reason why I would still recommend it with the laundry list of cons is that for the price and options, it’s hard to beat as a complete package. For gaming, the curved monitor is very nice. I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was. I honestly was expecting it to be so large that moving from a 22” would be a huge deal, but the curved display and the thin bezel really helped. Freesync and game mode are a great option to have. It really offers something to those who are looking for a higher resolution than 1080P without paying a crazy amount. For the office at work or home, this monitor is great. The 360 degree design is really a big selling point for me. Putting this on the top of a desk is not an eye sore, it looks professional and sleek. Once again the curved screen really assists in viewing this large monitor all day. I have spent several multi hour sessions doing work from it and I have noticed no eye fatigue. A fantastic solo or dual monitor for a desktop in a professional setting. If pass though audio is not a big deal and you don’t plan to mount it, this is a really good monitor. Yes it has a lot of cons, but it does still offer a ton. Curved, 2K, 3000:1, crazy pixel density, Freesync, aesthetically appealing; it does offer a lot. While it’s not a perfect monitor, for the price point they are offering it in, it’s a great competitor.
Pros: This is my first experience with curved screens, but I must say that Samsung has made me a believer. I purchased two of this monitors and use them side-by-side and the experience is amazing. The WQHD (2560x1440) resolution does not disappoint - everything looks beautiful. Even the monitors themselves carry a sleek and confident design. Two thumbs way, way up!
Cons: Have yet to find any.
Pros: - Display is very sharp and vibrant. Samsung's QLED technology in addition to the VA panel shows color and contrast very well (in my opinion better than a typical IPS panel) - The best colors the monitor reproduces are reds, oranges, blues, and greens. Not so much yellow. I compared colors with my Asus laptop IPS panel. The reds are most pronounced to me, and are far more vibrant than I have seen on any other screen. - Viewing angles are better than expected, even with a curved screen - 2K looks great - V-Sync is a feature, though I have no experience with it since I have a Nvidia graphics card - I recommend buying this monitor on sale, retail price is way more than what I would pay. I bought this for $300 on sale.
Cons: - The stand cannot be adjusted vertically, but can tilt. Also, the screen protrudes far out from the center of the base, which makes the length from the back of the stand to the screen about 9 inches (that's my estimate). Make sure to have enough desk space!
Overall Review: - I don't mind the 60 Hz refresh rate because I don't have the hardware to run higher refresh rates on most games. - Response time and refresh rate are less than expected from a VA panel type, but there is no noticeable ghosting and you can pay more for a better version of this monitor (144Hz and 1ms responce time), so its not a con to me. - Overall, I think this monitor is fantastic, the image quality is some of the best that I have seen, highly reccomend!
Pros: was nice while it worked
Cons: display port died, every test with different cables and video cards laptops etc showed the same thing. now have to use hemi splitter on HDMI port, hopefully that doesn't die either. contacted Samsung but no response. may try credit card company for assistance.
Overall Review: would recommend product with better warranty, company that supports thier product especially at this price point
Pros: The colors and panel quality appears great to me. Mine arrived without any dead pixels and works exactly as advertised. The curve is subtle at this screen size and nothing appears distorted or "curved" when in use. Its hard to say, but it feels easier to "look at" than my previous flat 27". Could be a total placebo affect, its rather subtle.
Cons: The stand is angled in such a way that the monitor takes up too much space depth wise, and the stand and wire routing in general is just silly aesthetics getting in the way of functionality. It works fine and is stable, but only the tilt can be adjusted. If you plan on switching from hdmi to display port there is more work involved than there ever should be. I have to imagine there is a Samsung engineer out there somewhere who hates the design / marketing team.
Overall Review: Without a sale, the monitor is priced similar to better offerings from other manufacturers. Samsung only offers a one year warranty on this monitor, but competitors offer three year warranties for similar products / price. This is only a 60hz monitor and has an average response time for this panel type. Competitors offer better refresh rates and response times for the same price. That said, in use I've not had an issue with the refresh rate nor response time impeding my enjoyment of games and videos, but everyone's expectations and use cases are different. Its simply worth noting. I got the monitor for a little over $300 on a sale. I think for close to full price at $400 - $450, I'd recommend looking at other models too. This monitor does have great color as best I can tell though. So if that's what you are looking for, Samsung delivers there.
Pros: Great monitor for my home office needs very sleek and sexy look
Cons: wish it had a USB port.
Overall Review: Highly recommended.

Pros: For reference, I have run triple 27"-32" 120hz monitors and currently run a curved 35" Predator as my main gaming monitor. Being used to those high refresh rate large monitors, all of which are vesa mounted, the first thing that jumps out to me is the extreme curve this monitor has (and lack of vesa mount). The curve on this thing is fantastic and extreme! They call it 1800R and what that means it that is has a much sharper curve than most other "curved" monitors on the market. My 35" monitor, while large, has a very subtle curve to it that's pretty much a joke compared to this 1800R curved monitor. It really is immersive and to me, makes it feel like it's larger than 27" but has the benefit of a small overall footprint for those with limited space. Something that could be a pro or a con depending on your application and needs - the cables are all hard wired and routed very neatly through the monitor and stand. It is a very clean install when setup. The flip side is that these cable are already mounted so you can't use your own and you are extremely limited if you want/need additional ports (i.e. other monitors will have built in speakers, USB hubs and several display port options). If you want a simple, clean and very sleek looking work monitor, this is hard to beat for the price. The thin bezel along with the aggressive curve make this monitor feel larger than it is and the native "2K" (even though it's not really) resolution is perfectly suited to this size. If you did want to use this as a gaming monitor, the middle of the road resolution and low frame rate (60hz) make this relatively easy to drive for most modern GPUs. The advertised response time is acceptable as well coming in at 4ms GtG (under 5ms is the goal with lower being better). These number can be fudged though as they do with crazy contrast ration numbers, which are also good on this monitor. Out of the box, the color/saturation/brightness is just OK in most presets but the good news is there is room for improvement. While not an IPS type monitor, the “Quantum Dot” display can be made to look pretty amazing! (manual settings and some tweaking) Also, once dialed in, the viewing angles on this monitor are incredible! This is nice if you like to game or have others huddled around a single monitor…they still get a really good picture from almost any viewing angle. If you have an AMD GPU, the addition of Freesync is a welcome one. This actually proved most beneficial when gaming because my frame rates were well in excess of 60fps and freesync kept the screen tearing down to a tolerable level. There was a noticeable difference when running with a 1080ti (non-freesync of course) with vsync on and frame rate limiter used and then when run with a 480 and freesync enabled. This also leads to my biggest gripe and the cons (low refresh rate).
Cons: The two biggest cons for me are 1) the lack of a VESA mount and 2) the archaic 60hz refresh rate. People that have never experienced a good monitor beyond 100hz (with good GPU to push the higher frames) don't know what they're missing! Those folks would probably have no problem with this 60hz cap. However, with this being advertised as a "gaming" monitor, we should demand nothing less than 100hz from new monitors being released. 120-140hz being ideal and while there is a debate as far as what is perceivable to the human eye, I can at least say that I see the difference and 60hz bugs the heck out of me. As mentioned earlier, freesync helps smooth things out but that doesn't make up for the low FPS/hz cap. You can try to overlock the monitor but you'd be lucky to get 65-68hz out of it and of course, do so at your own risk. There is also some backlight bleed around the edges and while not ideal, it seems to be a fairly common problem with curved displays. I've reviewed several different brands and all had this problem. A problem, but not unique to this one. Lack of connections could also be a problem for some as you only have the built in HDMI and mini DisplayPort. Finally, some like having built in speakers, which this monitor doesn't have. To me that is a plus though, as it saves on production cost which presumably has the savings passed on to the customer (even if slight). Get a good pair of headphones or soundcard and see what you're missing if you use monitor speakers…
Overall Review: In the end, this would make for a great office monitor but it is not something I would gravitate towards if I wanted a dedicated "gaming" monitor. If you own a good AMD card or plan on getting one in the near future, having the freesync is a huge plus and will help with smooth out gameplay and in that instance I could maybe see it...but you're still nerfed at 60hz/fps. If you do not have an AMD card and plan on gaming, I would not recommend this monitor though. So overall this is a good quality monitor that looks sharp, has a good price point, comes from a trusted company that general stands behind their products (should there be any warranty concerns) and has a very sleek/modern design. I would recommend this monitor to someone that runs a home office/business.
