What is the actual write speed? It's described as 15x USB 2.0, but no specifics given which seems suspicious.

It says right in the description that it is USB 3.1. The 15x USB 2.0 refers to it being 15 times faster than USB 2.0. Absolute;y nothing suspicious about it. But note that while they are fast (especially the larger sizes) they aren't very durable. They break easily due to their ultra thin plastic shields around the USB connector that are made of metal in most other drives. I have several of them and rarely, if ever use them because they are so flimsy and unreliable.
