Pros: Can't get a reasonable priced Nvidia 3090? This will do. Installation may prove tricky for some. Know your case measurements well to fit clearance for a 360mm radiator. Hose length is questionable for anything past a mid tower. Performance is solid, although I'm not pushing it. Wasn't the point for me, especially with Sapphire's disappointingly 2 year warranty commitment. Some 3+ year older titles ran at 4k@60 fps cool and quiet at maxed non raytraced settings, though my case build has extremely good airflow paired with an AMD 5950. Manufacturer has fans oriented in a push configuration, meaning top mounted in your case. You'll want to reverse to a pull orientation for front mounted and that simple change may put you into a situation vs RMA warranty needs. The hybrid design is both the strongest and weakest link for what you're paying for. This is not the K model extreme edition ($$$) GPU but easily hits 2500+ at over 250W. Newegg packaged this decently for shipping as did Sapphire, unlike some of my past recent orders from same. Nice change, a good effort to retain a customer. Aesthetically, I like the installed look of it very much for a build I focused more in role of function over form. It's a nice show case look if your side panel case is in plain views. It's Sapphire, and for now, that name still means something very positive to me in the GPU space. Time will tell how this one holds up to normal usage. I really am not impressed with their current RMA policies. You may have a large fight on your hands past Neweggs 30 day returns vs Sapphire expecting Newegg to process your warranty RMA post that period vs Sapphire handling directly, as they should. Go read the fine print. I liked the card enough to take this chance after waiting 2 years in this terrible market place. Your mileage may vary on gambling with that risk. Feel free to set my concerns at ease Newegg/Sapphire on this.
Cons: Warranty period vs the weakest link, the cheap Asetek cooler. You're contending with a cheap and noisy pump, around baby 1/4" hose and aluminium feeling radiator. The cold plate they use gives impression copper plated is in the mix. So you have barely any coolant, combined with excessively cheap feeling AIO, cheap no name fans, barely long enough hose length attached to an otherwise solid hybrid card design. Gives very mixed signals of yeah, this will run the 6900 XT to the max, for now, but will it last over time or even much past 2 years? The hope is that past warranty, adding your own better water block replacement and custom loop will make this a long time killer GPU combo. I was flat out surprised by how overall light in weight this is. I know AIOs are often built cheaply with very little coolant inside, but... just wow. You'll question how much water is even in play. But don't worry, it cools the GPU fantastically, for now. The AIO utilized was clearly the biggest margin cut afterthought in this top tier release. Yet it's one of the most important factors in the performance and "hope" for longevity. Very disappointing in a product pitched as a super high end sports car, with the real price tag perhaps coming in future related parts failure. Sapphire could have done *so* much better here, even for $50-100 more on AIO quality and put at least a well supported 5 year warranty by their flagship product. Instead you're given this. Were you really even attempting to compete with ASUS' offerings or what? They offer you 120mm more and a hybrid design, but I bet the ASUS is better quality over long term. With a provided expensive AIO solution, you're kinda stuck with what they give you. Sapphire used to be top notch. Do I have mixed feelings? You bet I do. The "manual" is absolutely garbage. Why bother? Small, few pages only in your many languages that covers generic GPU installations! Buyer beware if you're not somewhat tech savvy and have never installed radiators or AIOs in general. Included a ratchet set of tools... As some kind of cheap after thought prize to win you over pay spending this much money. That is the only included frill item mind you. No included software, you have to download their own custom which is so so. Make sure you get the 8.6 version, do not confuse with the 6.8 version link which will just immediately crash and fail to run, no warning, just an entry in Windows event viewer. Works ok with AMD's Adrenaline software installed at same time.
Overall Review: For my setup, if I get a minimum of 2 solid years out of it and can reasonably risk replacement of the AIO with my own custom block and loop, it'll work great for me and currently is. For pure performance ability vs noise and looks, it delivers as promised in this market. I really wish Sapphire had left me with the impression of yeah, this and theirs, of going AMD GPU instead, was the way to go vs crazy $. It's an imperfect card with a great design, some bad choices, and a bit of risk from a company that used to really stand out better in the market a decade ago. Here's hoping all of it improves. For the price vs performance, I'd probably buy it again vs missing alternatives that are grossly overpriced. This is not cheap at all either, and parts of it clearly are, while the rest is decent. It's an odd combo that works, but mostly in what Sapphire hopes to gain in margins.
