Pros: I recently bought the OEM version of this card which newegg is no longer listing. The OEM version has a 600MHz core and 1400 MHz memory clock but this retail version only has a 450/1350 for some reason. The loss of 150 MHz on the core speed has got to hurt the overall performance. This is the only midrange ATI AGP card to sport GDDR3 memory with Shader model 3.0 so it's either this card or the 7600GS if you want those features. It will play games like FEAR Combat, NFS Carbon, Battle Field 2 and other modern games with no problems but if you want to turn up the eye candy then be prepared to play at 1024 x 768 or lower resolution.

Cons: The 7600GS offers the same features and better performance for just a little more money.

Overall Review: 3DMark03 score = 8700 3DMark05 = 5100 3DMark06 = 2300 AMD 3200 CPU with 1.5 GB memory. It does better in benchmarks than actual game play. In most games this card performs much like a 6600GT and in some games like BF2 it performs a little better than a 6600GT and is about the same price.

Pros: Allows me to run Far Cry and BF 2142 at HIGH settings (I'm at 1024x768 resolution - haven't tried anything else). Works with my 420W (18A) Thermaltake PSU no problems. Not as loud as people make it out - at least I haven't noticed a difference and if anything it is quieter than my old 9800 PRO. Excellent value for money. Easy to install and upgrade, especially if you were already running an ATI card - no need to install software just be sure you already have the latest ATI drivers installed and (on XP) auto detect will do the rest.

Cons: Not the top of the line card but for the money it's a great deal. On a 'silent' machine you could probably hear this - mine wasn't silent to begin with.

Overall Review: Received the card within 48 hrs of placing my order! Very impressive newegg. At the time this had a great rebate from the mfr also... I read some people thought they needed a larger PSU or particularly a larger 12v rail - mine is 420W with an 18A rail and I've had no problems at all. Came with a ton of different adapters and cables which was nice. A very good looking card - actually feels like you're getting some muscle - ok so I'm just upgrading from a 9800 PRO. Turning up the detail on BF 2142 and Far Cry really makes a big difference! Next up - Call of Duty 2 and Tomb Raider: Anniversary...

Pros: Great card for the money, definantly an improvement to any onboard video or generic card. Great for someone looking for a card that will allow them to play almost every modern game at reasonable settings, that doesn't want to spend all their money. plays cs source perfectly at near highest settings. relatively easy install.

Cons: AGP is getting old but its always easy to improve an old computer by putting a decent video card in it. I'm not sure if newegg made a mistake or sapphire but the instructions in the box were obviously written by someone who has no understanding of video cards. It told me not to put the installation cd in, but instead use the windows xp cd? I must have been hallucinating but it also wanted me to restart my computer after every instruction step, really confusing. I just said screw it and ghetto strapped the card in, McGivered the installation and it worked... after a try or two.

Overall Review: make sure you uninstall your previous video card drivers before you install this card, it most likely will cause problems.

Pros: Great card. What more can you ask for $99.00?? This card performs well for a AGP card. I bought this for a machine I have that is not PCIE that is still a nice machine but needed a better card than GForce 5700. This card BLOWS the GForce away. Easy install, smokin graphics, great performance, and super quite. I would recommend this card to my friends and family. Runs World of Warcraft at max settings, Half Life at max doesn’t even make this card break a sweat, and EQ2 looks phenomenal. Good buy, worth the cash!

Cons: AGP is still a bit pricy, but the quality for the $$ is defiantly outstanding here.

Overall Review: None - works great.

Pros: Great bargain for keeping your AGP machine alive for another couple of years. Installation was a snap. Upgraded from a 9600XT and was happy with results: Avg FPS 68 in HL2 in 1024X768 with mostly max settings (AA off). Close Combat 2 runs FPS in low 30s at 800X640 on high settings. Quiet stock fan. Use the enclosed Molex cable to tee off of hard drive - floppy drive cable doesn't provide enough power. NewEgg's service is superb!!!

Cons: Stock cooling runs at 100% most of the time, with temp at 65-68C under full load. Not really a problem. Don't expect more than 5% improvement with overclocking - Sapphire has pretty much maxed this chipset out. It's basically a X1600XT. 128 memory bus is a bottleneck, but performance is still great.

Overall Review: My system is a stock Asus A7N8X-E Delux, AMD XP 3200+, 1MB Corsair TwinX runing at 2.2 MHz. Your mileage may vary.

Pros: This card is an excellent and very affordable upgrade to your aging AGP system that you don't want to spend your entire paycheck to replace. It beats my old ATI 9800 AIW Pro hands down. I play WoW at 1920x1200 full screen resolution on my 24" LCD, and I can turn the graphics to max settings with only little choppiness in certain areas (like Shatt and Nagrand). But that's not bad with 256MB video memory given the resolution I'm running. Also, the heatsink and fan are designed in a way that make them harder to collect dust over time.

Cons: The drivers are a nightmare. You must use the drivers on the CD first. I tried to update the Catalyst drivers, but my screen became blank after the reboot. It would sit in no signal mode until I get the eventual blue screen complaining about ati2vag.dll. From then on, reinstalling the original drivers was another nightmare. I couldn't count the number of times I had to boot into VGA mode due to the blank screens on normal boots. To reinstall the drivers, I had to remove the display adapters under safe mode, uninstall any ATI software from the CD, reboot in VGA mode, prevent Windows from automatically installing its own set of drivers, reinstall from CD, reboot in VGA mode again, set the resolution and hope it worked, and then reboot until the frame rate is automatically set correctly. This card is extremely picky about its drivers. I never had this problem with my 9800 AIW Pro.

Overall Review: This is great buy as an AGP upgrade or replacement. With its insane memory clock, this card is one of the best in the 256MB group. Be very careful with installing drivers. If you mess up, don't rely on System Restore to save your hide. It didn't save me.

Pros: Fast, works wonderfully with Windows Vista's Aero Glass and Flip 3D, GDDR3

Overall Review: I got this card for running Aero Glass after carefully considering many similar cards. I'm glad I made the right choice. It installed without a hitch. The driver included with Windows Vista works pretty well, but of course you should always install the latest driver from ATI's website. Don't bother with the driver included on CD. Aero Glass is running perfectly, and Flip 3D works great, even with a TV show playing in one of the windows.

Pros: Runs Dark Age of Camelot easily at 1024x768 with all settings turned up.(Havn't tried a bigger res but I'm sure it would likely work.) AND on a 300W power supply for now until I can upgrade to higher. (350W or higher Recommended) I have a pretty big 19in. CRT and I ran it the entire day from 9AM-11PM without a single glitch.

Cons: Absolutely none so far. I had some trouble getting it in my box cause the card is pretty huge. I actually had to tilt one of the capacitors on my motherboard cause it was in the way but that's not Sapphire's or Newegg's fault. Also, I think the driver disk is glitched or something cause I know I put it in at least 10 times and it kept freezing during installation. BEFORE you install your new card go to <http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.html> and get the "Catalyst Software Suite" so you won't have to worry about upgrading and besides they actually work too.

Overall Review: Not sure if this will help but Newegg lists all the X1650 PRO cards on here as having 12 Pixel Pipelines but even ATI's website says there's only 4. There are "12 pixel shader processors." (That's straight from the box.)
