The motherboard has a PCIe lane, so the graphics card should fit on the motherboard itself. The better question is if the graphics card will fit in the case.

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can use it in any system with a 500 watt power supply with 6 pin VGA connectors, and a motherboard with at least 1 PCI express 16x 2.0 or 3.0 slot.

You could run 3 monitors if you wanted to. The card has 2 HDMI ports, 2 Display Ports and one DVI port.

I have a corsair 1000w psu so power isn't an issue. I can run 2 monitors on this card with HDMI? Is this the best deal right now for ~$200 video card?

I would say it is the best RX 470 out there. I can overclock to 1420mhz on stock voltage. That puts it ahead of a stock RX 480. I got 7.4 on the stream VR Test. I pulled it back to 1380mhz and it scores 7.0  and at 1330mhz it scores 6.4 that matches stock RX 470. All this was achieve with stock voltage and no memory overclock. Power limit was increase to 50% and also temps was set to 75 to 85. Card works flawlessly.

yeah it is not in specs  and I got rid of mine, but it is very close to an xfx rx 470  which is 9.45 inches

Since this is a PCI 3.0, will it work in a 2.0? If so are there any drawbacks?

Yes it will work. The only drawback is that this card seems to have been optimized for newer technologies, and doesn't run older games that well at all. Some not even as well as their older counterparts. Hopefully this will be fixed with some driver upgrades or something, but when I buy a newer card, I expect it to run the older games I own at least as well as the card I'm upgrading from... and this does not in some instances.  Be cautious.  I might have gone with an Nvidia solution if I had known this before purchase if the Nvidia options run older games better. Which I am not aware of. I would ask someone with experience with a competing Nvidia card.

The Double slot width card is also very long.
I would advise cutting some cardboard stock, from a used box on hand, to the dimensions listed for the card, and attempt fitting it in place.  This card had clearance limitations with a large tower case we recently purchased requiring actual removal of part of the drive bays.
Best to attempt a dry run, with a mock-up !
