Pros: I burned this psu in on a old P4 system by running it nonstop for a week to stress it. Rails are dead on, no high pitched noises or voltage hum. It's the V2 version. Ability to allow the fan to run slowly for more airflow even though it's not really needed until after 50% draw. The Sanyo fan will easily outlast the PSU even running 24/7.

Cons: None, I even received my MIR for 20 bucks, it's always a bonus when those show up. A PSU of this power and quality for $90 is a steal!!

Overall Review: As other people have mentioned this psu is designed to be mounted on bottom cases due to the orientation of the sata plugs. They run bottom to top, not top to bottom. You can mount it on top but the lines would go towards to bottom of the case, bend and go back up to be correct. A tall tower case the line most likely won't make it length wise.

Cons: Does not boot the system with a GTX780 video card! Boots perfectly fine with an old 9600GT. I'm a professional engineer and have built over 70 systems so I am sure I have everything connected properly and that the video card works perfectly in this system with other power supplies.

Pros: Comes with an awesome Crown Royal-esque bag. Modular. Visibly superior build quality. Plenty of power, no inflated specs. I'm running an AMD FX-8320 overclocked to 4.7GHz, 32GB RAM, dual ATI HD7870 Sapphire GPUs, 5 hard drives, 1 SSD, six 120mm fans, one 140mm fan, one 200mm fan, and one 230mm fan. PSU generates almost no heat. Quiet, with the option of running it fanless. Amazing price (on sale) No coil whine (See other thoughts)

Overall Review: My old system started producing coil whine when I upgraded the FX-6350 to a 8320. Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 with a Corsair TX-650 PSU. Upgraded to ASUS M5A990FX PRO R2.0 with this Seasonic 660XP2 and it still produced coil whine. I was quite distraught, until one day I took the system out to the garage because it was around 10 degrees outside that night and the cold garage was a perfect place to do some overclock testing. Plugged it in, powered it on, ZERO coil whine. Took it back inside, coil whine returned. It was the UPS. The one in my office was an older APC, while the newer APC that the servers were on in my garage actively filtered the power, rather than just kicking on when there was an outage. So to anybody having coil whine problems with this PSU, try testing on a different UPS. Possibly one with AVR. I know I installed an identical PSU in another server I maintain, and it produced zero coil whine when plugged into a CyberPower Pure Sinewave UPS. This is a premium PSU and seems to require clean power to function properly, kind of how you wouldn't put regular unleaded gasoline in a Ferrari.

Pros: This thing scored 10s across the board in performance at JonnyGuru and it's easy to see why. Near perfect voltage regulation, excellent ripple and noise suppression and over 90% efficiency from 10 to 100% load! Best of all it does all of this while remaining completely silent. In hybrid mode, mine has stayed fanless even when pulling in excess of 400W from the wall. Even after hours of gaming or rendering it stays cool in passive mode. It's fully modular so you can buy aftermarket sleeved cables if you want... but with stock cables this sleek, why would you? They're all black (even the individual cables in the 24 pin are black from end to end) and flat, making routing a breeze and letting them blend in perfectly with almost any build. And it comes with four 6+2 pin PCIE cables which makes it perfect for dual GPU setups (like mine!).

Cons: Price. But you absolutely get what you pay for.

Overall Review: With this PSU you get clean power, ultra high efficiency and quiet operation (in a pretty darn stylish package if I do say so myself). It's powering my 3770K, 16GB RAM and SLI GTX 670s without a problem. Put it in your cart already!

Pros: Quiet Quality Construction Can usually find on sale if you are not in a hurry to build. Hybrid mode a plus when trying to reduce computer noise. Modular design and cables are excellent.

Overall Review: Every Seasonic power supply that I have purchased has been excellent with no issues.

Pros: Quiet. Extremely quiet. Even with the fan on you will not have a chance of hearing it. I set it to Normal mode, so that the fan spins all the time. Modular! My first modular PSU! Nice not having all these cables that I am not using! Quality components. Solid state caps and quality fan!

Pros: I bought this as a replacement to a generic 600W. Right away the modular nature of it was really helpful. I could route cables without having the connected to the power supply. The connectors all are high quality. They snap in place and stay, nothing cheap here. The flat cables are a nice touch actually and are easier to route than a bunch of round mesh covered ones. The marking on the cables and the PSU are easy to understand, and I replaced my old 600W with this unit in sub-par working conditions within 35 minutes. The unit is very quiet. I can't hear it over the case fans. My BIOS shows stable voltages, for 3.3V, 5V and 12V they are all close to optimal with no variation. The cables are very well configured. I have a bunch left-over that I might or might not need, but in a large tower case with 5 SATA drives, I still have plenty of connectors for future expansion. Overall I am very pleased. This is a top-quality unit, and the Newegg sale brought it to $90 after rebate. That's outstanding given what I received.

Cons: I had no problems at all. This installation was a pleasure.

Overall Review: I haven't had such a trouble-free experience ever. Even in an existing, tightly packed tower case, the install was a joy. 7 years warranty, where ever does one see that? Nowhere else, that's where. I think this unit is a fantastic purchase.
