Pros: 10th gen cpu, 20 series gpu, nvme. SHIPPING!
Cons: Heat? -1egg for this
Overall Review: Picked this up on a shellshocker deal. I have yet to come across another model with 10th gen/20 series even close to the shellshocker deal price(common builds with 8th/9th gen/16/10 series for similar or more money). Loads games about 1second faster than my 3600x/2070super/970 evo. The bottom of the laptop and keyboard do get HOT while gaming,(ultra+ all settings) but the hardware temps viewed with the Omen software preinstalled shows safe operation(around 70c). Is this a design feature to dissipate heat to areas that are not as sensitive as the cpu/gpu? More likely a byproduct of massive hardware in the tiniest of spaces. 200w charger also gets HOT, but CHARGES the battery during gaming, not just holding steady. No complaints on screen, smooth, crisp, and vibrant. 4zone rgb keyboard looks cool and customizable. Shipped to East USA in 2 days using standard 4-7 day free. At this point my only negative is the fact that you may not want to place this on your lap and game due to heat. I have only been concerned during heavy gaming. Non gaming use it is cool, and also drops temps FAST after game sessions.
Pros: This laptop came packed with great features at a really good price. I'm able to run Borderlands 3 and Far Cry 5 on high settings, getting average framerates of 70 on B3 and 109 on FC5! The monitor is sharp and clear, easy to play games on and this doubles as my home workhorse as well. The OMEN command center software is easy to use and helps to customize your config for games, including adjusting the RGB lighting colors for the keyboard and supporting different controller configs.
Cons: 512 GB is bare minimum for an SSD drive, but sufficient. You'll need to either add an internal or external HD if you want to carry a number of games with you. Also, while the lighting colors are easily customized, the entire zone (there are 4 different zones, very logically laid out) must be the same color; this laptop does not support different colors for each key
Overall Review: I highly recommend this laptop as it has a good set of specs for a great price!
Overall Review: Overall good order process this time but this was to replace the last order UPS lost.
Pros: RTX 2060 10th Gen Aluminum Build 4 Zone Rgb Thunderbolt Wifi 6 & Delicious Display
Cons: Laptop warms up & no fan control it spins auto
Overall Review: Pretty good laptop as the build quality is superb with the screen above 320 nits with very fast response time & no pwm flicker
Pros: -super fast has no problem running all my games and apps running warzone at 130FPS consistently
Cons: -Battery life is not so good the laptop needs to be plugged in when gaming or only lasts and hour
-Small storage space But that comes with the price
Overall Review: For the price this laptop is hard to beat
Pros: Very fast
Cons: Battery life and heat when gaming
Overall Review: Really liked this laptop until I realized the battery on it only lasted 2 hrs . This is without any gaming and turned on to the battery saver mode I’m sending it back to Newegg to replace I would give it 5 stars otherwise
Pros: Good fps fast loading good memories
Overall Review: He’ll yeah really good laptop
Cons: Not as friendly to upgrade as advertised.
Cheesy fragile feel to it.
Overall Review: Fast processor, with 6 cores. I love the configurable multicolored keyboard, it should be a great help to laptop gamer's. The display is clear and crisp. Only 3 USB ports, but not like you'd be plugging in a lot of devices without a docking station anyway. No CD/DVD player as has been the trend for years now. It does have an SD card reader. HDMI, and Thunder Bolt ports. I don't do much gaming on laptops but appreciate the power and future proofing they can provide. This is replacing my 8 year old Elite Book which the mobo died. Maybe it's the weight of the all metal former Laptop that makes this one feel cheap.
The big disappointment. I had a brand new Samsung Evo 860 2TB SSD lying around so I wanted to replace the 500GB SSD M2 mobo mounted drive (yes these are faster, but capacity is needed more). My previous laptop had a slide switch to remove the cover. This has 8 of the tiniest screws you ever saw, then you have to carefully pry open the so as not to break tabs. I marred the cover near one of the front screws. They must have used a torque wrench to tighten it.
There is a plastic plate where you mount the SSD (more tiny screws). The issue here is the fragile ribbon cable draped over top, just use caution. The M-2 SSD board was easy to remove. I chose leave it out. Remember this back panel also covers the battery, no other way to access it to trouble shoot power issues if ever needed. That's the reason for 4 eggs.
