Silicon Power 128GB Elite microSDXC UHS-I/U1 Class 10 Memory Card with Adapter, Speed Up to 75MB/s (SP128GBSTXBU1V20BT)

Pros: It's a microSDXC card UHS-I rated. It did live up to its 75 MB/s billing at 72.67 MB/s transfer -- sufficient to fulfill almost all but the most extreme throughput usages. We used it in a security camera, tablet, computers, and handheld gaming devices with no issues. Overall, very pleased with performance and like that this brand is a few dollars cheaper than the more name brand competitors.

Cons: It's rare that I can say this, but with standardized and rather mature technology like this, the only potential con were data read/write and integrity issues. Throughout months of continue testing, wear and tear, and reformats, there were no issues with data ever. The only possible con was that it's UHS-I rated which provides bus throughput up to 104 MB/s, but the device was marketed as speeds up to 75MB/s, so this is hardly a con between the technical limits and the advertised speed. Still, worth noting, but no deduction as all brands advertise thusly.

Overall Review: As far as SD cards go, the technology is pretty standard and the components come from just a few manufacturers. That said, I hadn't used Silicon Power branded before and was curious if it rivaled other budget brands as well as mainstream name brands. I was pleased with the performance and compatibility to any device I popped it into. There were no issues with fitment or compatibility and none was expected. I'd recommend this to anyone looking at microSD cards as quickly as I would any other brand.

Pros: Lots of storage space. Good value for a microSDXC card. Read performance that is similar to other cards in this class.

Cons: The read speeds were comparable to high speed SD cards. The write speeds were about half of what you get from similar rated cards. The write speed was only an issue in 1 instance. When I used the card to store HD Video or shoot consecutive pictures in RAW format, the card could not keep up with the camera. Initially copying music and pictures to the card will be slower but viewing movies, pictures and listening to music did not cause any issues.

Overall Review: For use in a phone, this card performs well enough. I saw no issues taking pictures or video. Sequential read speeds averaged 19 MB/s. This is similar performance to other cards in this class. Watching a movie or listening to music would be sequential reads. Sequential write speeds averaged 9 MB/s. This is about half of the performance of similar cards. Taking pictures, recording video, copying music or movies to the card would be sequential writes. The slower speed is not noticeable except in extreme instances. I would recommend this card if someone to someone who needs an SD card for their phone.

Pros: This thing performs well, but it does vary on what device you use. I didn't have any issues.. just speeds vary based on what you plug it into which is not abnormal. It was pretty fast on a phone and camera. Was not getting the stated speeds when using it in the SD Card Adapter on a PC, however there are multiple things that can affect that. Physically this of course is the Typical Mirco SD size, although the design is nice compared to a boring black card. When plugged into something you won't always notice it as much though. It functions really well, I have used in on multiple computers, with the sd card adapter, a tablet and phone. Everything works great with it so far. No errors or issues. 128GB for a micro SD drive is awesome! I like the size, style and the color.

Overall Review: If you are looking for a good performing MicroSD Card for a phone, camera, recorder, etc... There's no reason not to consider this one. I love it.

Cons: - Speeds vary and aren't too quick to read or write. Thankfully though, they're not too far from advertised. - Pending your device and your use you may require a faster card. - Full sized SD adapter doesn't mean this card will work in all devices. *My Sony cam didn't like the adapter and the card was not able to be used.*

Overall Review: I bought a 128gb S*msung card exactly 4 months ago for $99.99. No lifetime warranty and not much faster than this card... Food for thought. Overall though, I'd say this is a pretty good deal for the money if you need a pretty cheapo high capacity "do-it-all" type micro SD.

Pros: I used the Silicon Power 128GB Elite microSDXC in two devices, a Canon PowerShot S100 camera and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 android. The SDXC adapter functioned well for camera use. Both devices recognized the card with no issues. The camera had no issues recording 1080p video and of course no problem with photos. Transfer read speeds were good over USB 2. Similarly on the tablet, read speeds during transfers over USB2 were above 16 MB/s. Other user reviews have benchmarks for comparison. A dedicate card reader may improve this up to the advertised read speed of up to 75 MB/s, but I have not yet tried that. The card was reliable over a few weeks. It played back any mp3 and HD video that I tried with it and was quick to seek. Overall, I recommend it.

Cons: My observed read speeds were less than USB 2 maximum, but is sufficient for most normal use scenarios.

Overall Review: It is a functional and very large capacity microSDXC that was shown to be compatible with my devices. It has proven to be functional on arrival and reliable for the time I have used it. The large storage space is great.

Pros: Significantly faster than internal memory when installed in a lower-end Samsung phone. The phone is now much smoother and no longer getting, "photos will soon fail to save" warning. Best value and performance for price than any other microSD card of this size. With the increased performance and enormous capacity, I won't have to buy a new phone now, which will save me hundreds of dollars. When installed in a SD slot on my laptop using the included adapter, HD Tach reports read speeds of 63MB/s burst and 51.7MB/s average and 0.7ms random access. This is pretty good for an SD card. Copying a 100GB file to the microSD card averaged about 20MB/s the whole time.

Cons: It's not a con for the card, but Android doesn't let you transfer apps to the SD card. Only saved files and photos/videos. If I could transfer the installed apps to this card, they would probably run smoother, too.

Overall Review: Check to make sure your phone can support 128GB microSD. Many phones only support 64GB so don't spend more than you have to. For installing in a phone, just insert it, format when prompted, then transfer the files from internal to SD memory in the storage settings. This can take a while but once done, it's done.

Pros: This SP card is a Class-10/UHS-1 microSDXC card with a flashy front side and whole lot of storage space. Read/write speeds are very fast. Comes with SD adapter. And although I’ve only had it for two weeks thus far, it has handled all the reads/writes I’ve thrown at it.

Cons: I hate not having one real con to list, but this card literally performed flawlessly during its two weeks of testing. Not one read/write issue during use. Initial loading of over 100GB data onto this card took over a day. Didn’t exactly reach the advertised on package 75Mbps data transfer. Both of the latter points are more likely caused by my taxed workstation.

Overall Review: I’ve put this card through the paces. Loaded it up with my entire music collection and as many movies as I could fit while leaving about 16GB for photos and etc. Photos were quick to be written during testing, and I’ve yet to dump them with all the space this card affords. Tested it with my phone during which the card performed without issue in outdoor Midwestern high humidity and temperatures. Also had it in wet conditions while kayaking (phone is IP68 certified, so that might’ve helped). Placed it in my raspberryPi Media Center and it read and played high bitrate (>=320kbps) audio tracks and HD movies (720p or 1080p MP4s) without issue. I heard this card chuckle at my dSLR camera. Offers rescue software online, but since I had no trouble, I didn’t have an opportunity to test said software. Although I think based off the silicon-power website the software is now called recuva.

Overall Review: This microSD will live out its days in my tablet. I moved all media (movies and music) to this microSD to take some pressure off the internal drive and I haven’t had any slow access problems. The copy/move process took a few hours though. I relegated this to a storage card in my tablet because of my real world speeds being so far from the published specs and more in line with average cards. If you need some additional storage and don’t plan on removing the card to use in a high speed camera or for high def videos, this card is a steal! 128GB of storage for this price, stop thinking and buy it already! However, if you need a high speed card for high quality photo captures or video recording, I think you need to go for a known quantity. I am sure it will work fine in any microSD compatible smartphone, those aren’t high price digital camera’s taking ungodly large images in quick succession. I would buy another SP microSD 128GB card for a phone or tablet use without a doubt. This is an affordable storage expansion to keep in mind for the future.
